This is an Apertium language pair to translate between Turkish and Azerbaijani.

== Dependencies ===============================================================

* HFST (>= 3.1.0)
* VISLCG3 (>= 0.9.7)
* Lttoolbox (>= 3.2.0)
* Apertium (>= 3.2.0)

== Installation ===============================================================

Run:

$ ./autogen.sh

then

$ make

Now test the translator with:

$ echo "Ahmet biralarını var." | apertium -d . tr-az
  Ahmet pivələrini var.

== Files ======================================================================

* apertium-tr-az.tr-az.dix         - Bilingual dictionary 
* apertium-tr-az.tr-az.rlx         - Constraint Grammar for Turkish
* apertium-tr-az.tr-az.t1x         - Transfer rules for Turkish->Azerbaijani 

== Development ================================================================

* If you want to develop with this pair, you will need to check out 
  both 'azmorph'[1] and 'TRmorph'[2]

* Do not make any direct changes to the files in morph-az and
  morph-tr, the files 'update-azmorph.py' and 'update-trmorph.py' can
  be used to update these if you have changed the bilingual
  dictionary.

* If you want to add words to the two lexica, you need to commit them
  to azmorph and TRmorph respectively first.
