@github-actions github-actions released this 22 Oct 12:22

The first public beta. 🎉 Convert files on your own computer, with nothing uploaded.

Added

  • 90+ input file types: images (including iPhone HEIC and AVIF), PDF, Word, text and Markdown, spreadsheets and data (XLSX, CSV, JSON, YAML), audio, video, archives and subtitles.
  • Click wheel: a round, iPod-style widget that floats over your windows. Drag a file onto it, glide to a format and release to convert, or drop it in the centre and spin. It plays a soft click as you move between formats.
  • Glass UI: a frosted-glass main window that follows light and dark mode, and turns solid when Reduce transparency is on.
  • Batch conversion with Convert all to, and combine images, PDFs and documents into one PDF.
  • Photo privacy: GPS location and camera details are removed by default when converting photos.
  • Exact-layout Office conversions when LibreOffice is installed (optional).
  • Command line: convert, formats and doctor.
  • Local-only server: bound to 127.0.0.1, a secret token per launch, a Host check and a strict Content-Security-Policy.
  • Standalone apps for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows, with FFmpeg bundled so audio and video work out of the box.
  • App icon.
