The first release of PostgreSQL Manager for macOS, providing simple double-click scripts to manage your PostgreSQL server installation.

What's Included

• start_postgres.command - Starts PostgreSQL server with real-time output
• stop_postgres.command - Gracefully stops the running PostgreSQL server
• check_postgres.command - Displays current PostgreSQL server status

Installation

1. Download the ZIP file or clone the repository
2. Make the scripts executable: chmod +x *.command
3. Optional: Move to a convenient location: cp *.command "~/Desktop/PostgreSQL Manager/"

Usage

Simply double-click the appropriate script file to perform the desired action. Each script will do the following:

• Open in a dedicated Terminal window
• Perform the requested operation
• Display relevant output and status
• Close automatically after user acknowledgment

Notes

• Default paths configured for Homebrew installation of PostgreSQL 17
• Scripts can be customized by editing the version and path variables
• Created temporary files are automatically cleaned up
