Added

  • Added opt-in async-context stream transaction APIs (DE-10):
Transaction#stepAsync keeps the transaction active until the callback's
returned Promise settles, and Database#withTransactionAsync provides the
matching automatic commit/abort helper. On Node.js, different transactions
can run concurrently on one Database without sharing transaction IDs.
Existing step and withTransaction behavior remains unchanged. See the
    stream transactions guide.

  • Tests: Browser integration coverage (DE-1216) using the existing compatible
test suite against live single-server and cluster deployments in the latest
stable Chrome and Firefox releases. Node.js-only files and Buffer-specific
    cases skip in browsers.

  • Tests: Integration coverage for async job APIs (createJob, job,
    listPendingJobs, listCompletedJobs, deleteExpiredJobResults,
deleteAllJobResults) and the Job class (load, cancel, deleteResult,
getCompleted). Suites skip under ROUND_ROBIN load balancing because job
    state is coordinator-local.

Fixed

  • Packaging: Include the stream transaction and ArangoDB 4.0 migration guides
in the npm package so relative documentation links resolve.

  • CI: Resolve and install Chrome for Testing Stable from Google's automation
distribution for browser integration and smoke jobs, avoiding the direct
Chrome .deb download endpoint that stalls or resets on CI runners. Use a
shared Chrome installer and update Puppeteer's executable path. Retain bounded
retries and timeouts for Chrome and Firefox downloads (DE-1216).

  • Tests: Align async stream transaction coverage with the browser integration
suite (DE-1216), skipping Node.js-only async context cases individually and
verifying browser rejection and independent-connection concurrency behavior.
Abort outstanding test transactions before dropping collections to avoid
    cleanup timeouts after failures.
