Finder-Win 1.4.0

The biggest update so far — tabs, split view, a command palette and real Windows integration.

✨ New

Tabs

  • Explorer-style tab bar, always visible; + right next to the tabs (or Ctrl+T, middle-click a folder)
  • Ctrl+W to close, Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+1…9 to switch, drag to reorder, drop files onto a tab to move them there
  • Each tab keeps its own history, view mode, sort order and columns — restored on restart

Split view

  • Ctrl+Shift+D for two panes side by side, resizable divider
  • F5 copy / F6 move to the other pane, or just drag between panes

Command palette (Ctrl+K)

  • Jump to any folder, run any action, filter by tag (tag:red), or type a path
  • Ctrl+Enter searches files in the current folder

Windows integration

  • System clipboard: Ctrl+C / Ctrl+X / Ctrl+V work both ways with File Explorer
  • Drag files in from File Explorer and the desktop
  • Open in terminal: choose Windows Terminal, PowerShell or Command Prompt (More → Terminal)

Undo / Redo

  • Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y for rename, move, copy, delete (restores from Recycle Bin) and tag changes

Previews

  • Video and PDF thumbnails in Icon view
  • Column view shows video duration & resolution, image dimensions, PDF page count

Look & feel

  • Appearance: Light · Dark · Match system (More → Appearance)
  • Slimmer title bar

Install & updates

  • Installer fully translated to Czech
  • Optional once-a-day update check (one GitHub API request, no telemetry — can be turned off)

🐛 Fixes

  • Security: release workflow no longer passes the tag name unsanitized to the shell
  • Undo after "Replace" no longer sends the newly pasted file to the Recycle Bin
  • PowerShell and Command Prompt no longer close immediately after opening
  • Preview column can no longer show a thumbnail of a different file
  • Errors on paste / drop are now shown instead of failing silently
