Release list
Chrome extension v1.3.6
Annotation markers now keep keyboard focus across position refreshes and when an earlier annotation is removed. Enter and Space continue activating the selected note.
CLI Enter and Space input activates native buttons through the installed extension. Browser tests cover native activation, held Space, marker focus, and ordinary input focus. Installed-extension verification covered sharing, reading, annotation creation/editing/saving, and refusal after revocation through the native Gateway and CLI.
No new Chrome permissions or changes to sharing and approval boundaries. This is an extension-only release; macOS remains 0.5.2 and Windows remains 0.5.3. The ZIP is loaded unpacked. Chrome Web Store review and final publication are separate.
Chrome extension v1.3.5
Automatically share matching tabs in an isolated Sandbox profile using multiple exact-domain, wildcard-subdomain, or hostname regular-expression conditions. Preview matches and narrow them with HTTPS and port restrictions.
Annotations now expose stable references. Copy a reference from its editor or marker, read or remove the selected annotation through a compatible Cloud service, and undo or redo annotation edits with the toolbar or keyboard.
This extension-only release retains the existing optional site-access permission. macOS and Windows packages keep their separate versions. New annotation-reference CLI commands require a source build until a desktop release includes them.
Extract the ZIP and choose Load unpacked at chrome://extensions for direct installation. Chrome Web Store review and publication are separate from this GitHub release.
Chrome extension v1.3.4
Chrome extension 1.3.4 improves Cloud connection stability.
- Keep the extension worker and WebSocket active with negotiated ping/pong every 20 seconds.
- Retry a ready manual Cloud connection once after a transient network failure or proxy restart, authenticating again and rechecking existing sharing grants before announcing tabs.
- Preserve revocation, origin, expiry and destination boundaries. Discard old operations and results across connections; worker/browser restarts do not restore manual shares.
No new Chrome permissions or host access. Desktop versions are unchanged.
Extract the ZIP and load its directory with Chrome's Load unpacked action. Verify the included SHA-256 checksum before installation. GitHub ZIP distribution, Chrome Web Store review, Store publication and the version installed in a browser have separate status.
Chrome extension 1.3.2
Chrome extension 1.3.2 restores shared-tab badges after reload, same-origin navigation, and extension-worker restoration.
Native input fill avoids focus changes that can open password-manager suggestions. An approved unmodified Escape can recover from extension-frame debugger denial without changing password-manager settings or replaying the failed action. Recovery remains bound to the original sharing grant. Unclipped screenshot fallback verifies the active shared tab and discards results after access changes.
No new Chrome permissions or host access are added. Desktop packages retain their separate versions. Extract the ZIP and load its directory with Chrome's Load unpacked action. Verify the included SHA-256 checksum before installation.
This GitHub ZIP and Chrome Web Store review/publication have separate status. See the extension guide.
Chrome extension 1.3.1
Saved Cloud connections keep their browser identity
- Logging in again from a saved Cloud connection now proves that this browser already holds the saved connection, so the service keeps the same browser identity. The saved credential itself is not sent with the login request.
- New connections are unchanged. No new Chrome permissions.
Install
Download agent-browser-gateway-extension-1.3.1.zip, verify its SHA-256, extract it, and load the directory through Load unpacked at chrome://extensions. Reload an existing unpacked installation to activate the new service worker.
This release contains the Chrome extension only. macOS remains 0.5.2 and Windows remains 0.5.3. GitHub ZIP distribution is separate from Chrome Web Store review and publication.
Chrome extension 1.3.0
Annotation shortcuts and a movable toolbar
- Start or stop annotating the current tab with Alt+Shift+A (Option+Shift+A on macOS). If needed, ABG shares the tab first using the existing sharing checks. Stopping annotation keeps the tab shared.
- Switch Area / Text with Alt+Shift+M. Assign keys for Clear all and toolbar visibility in
chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Press Clear all twice within three seconds to confirm. - See your actual shortcut assignments in the popup and annotation toolbar. Drag the toolbar, move its grip with the arrow keys, or collapse it; ABG remembers its position.
- Dismiss notices immediately with × or Escape. ABG stops further Escape propagation through key release and keeps annotation mode unchanged. Page handlers already registered on window capture can run first.
Resolves #473.
Install
Download agent-browser-gateway-extension-1.3.0.zip, verify its SHA-256, extract it, and load the directory through Load unpacked at chrome://extensions. Reload an existing unpacked installation to activate the new service worker.
This release contains the Chrome extension only. macOS remains 0.5.2 and Windows remains 0.5.3. GitHub ZIP distribution is separate from Chrome Web Store review and publication.
Chrome extension 1.2.2
Fix the extension popup retaining a red Disconnected warning after authentication succeeds. The popup now follows live connection changes and shows connection/authentication progress while preserving edited settings.
Includes connection history improvements from 1.2.1. No new Chrome permissions. macOS remains 0.5.2 and Windows remains 0.5.3.
Download the ZIP and verify its SHA-256 checksum before loading it unpacked in Chrome. Chrome Web Store review and publication are separate from this ZIP release.
Changes: #472
Chrome extension 1.2.1
Connection history now recognizes exact Cloudflare proxy-restart close messages and records cloudflare_proxy_restarting for close code 1001. The label persists across worker restarts and appears in JSON exports. Unknown close text remains excluded.
Open Advanced → Connection history in the extension popup to inspect or export the timeline. Code 1001 alone does not identify the cause of a disconnect.
This is a Chrome-extension-only release. macOS remains 0.5.2 and Windows remains 0.5.3. Chrome permissions and sharing consent are unchanged.
Download the ZIP and verify its SHA-256 checksum before extracting it and loading the directory through Chrome's Load unpacked action. Chrome Web Store review and publication are separate from this direct ZIP distribution.
Chrome extension 1.2.0
Transfer client files directly through ABG Cloud and attach them to shared pages without copying files onto the browser host. Operation approval OFF adds no transfer or attachment prompt, and this byte-transfer path does not require Chrome file-URL access.
The updated Cloud service and extension negotiate file-transfer-v1. Transfers are held in extension memory, scoped to the active connection and tab, and expire after ten minutes. Existing browser-host path uploads retain their current behavior.
Download the ZIP and checksum, verify the checksum, extract the archive, and load or reload the extracted directory in Chrome. Chrome Web Store publication is separate from this direct ZIP release.
Validation: 270 extension tests, Cloud integration and Edge tests, and a real Chromium transfer test with two images and approval OFF.
Changes: #470
Chrome extension 1.1.3
Cloud file attachments now follow Require approval for write operations on both manual shares and Sandbox. When the setting is off, attachments skip the approval window for every file path, without requiring Trusted automation or automatic resume.
Cloud account-forced approval, Chrome's file-URL grant, and separate recording approval still apply. No Chrome permissions were added. macOS remains 0.5.2 and Windows remains 0.5.3.
Download the ZIP and checksum, verify the checksum, extract it, and load the extracted directory with Chrome's Load unpacked action. Chrome Web Store review and publication have a separate status; a GitHub release does not update an installed extension automatically.
Validation: 266 extension tests, typecheck, lint, build, dependency audit, Pages build, and isolated Chrome attachment checks. Full make verify retains the existing unrelated Safari command-classification failure.
