Describe the problem

This is most likely a leftover before IDE2 went open source. I do not see any benefit supporting the above-mentioned folder as a possible location for VS Code extensions.

To reproduce

  • Open IDE2 from a terminal and see the logs.
  • IDE2 is looking for a drop-in folder under ~/.arduinoProIDE/plugins.
$datetime root WARN The local plugin referenced by local-dir:/path/to/home/.arduinoProIDE/plugins does not exist.

Expected behavior

IDE2 does not consider the arduinoProIDE folder as a plugin folder. Or arduinoIDE is used instead of arduinoProIDE.

Arduino IDE version

2.0.3

Operating system

macOS

Operating system version

12.5.1
