Description
Only by accident did I stumble over the Explorer button in the left-most tools column. The only option to activate it is by right-clicking on an *.ino tab, and selecting Reveal in Explorer Alt + R
(by the way, this Alt-R command is not working).
But once it is selected, it sits in the left-most tools column in the same way as the Board-, Bug-, Debug, and Search tools, which all sit there by default. Equal right for the Explorer!
I find this Explorer a lot more helpful than the *.ino tabs, or the list which opens when clicking the drop-down button at the right end of the tab list, for looking for a file. Those latter two can be re-arranged by the user. While this can be helpful at times, it makes for an annoying search when you need a specific *.ino file, when you forgot where you moved it to.
My projects are organized into small files, so In big projects I have many of them. The tabs are overflowing anyway. The Explorer column is filled almost completely. Therefore it is great that the Explorer is organized strictly alphabetically and I immediately know where to find the file, and need only a single click to call it up.
