If aro lives somewhere else, point at it before installing the
kernelspec — the path is baked in:

export ARO_KERNEL_ARO=/opt/aro/bin/aro
python -m aro_kernel.install --user

Installation

macOS (Homebrew) — Recommended

brew tap arolang/aro
brew install aro

macOS (Manual)

curl -L https://github.com/arolang/aro/releases/download/0.13.1/aro-macos-arm64.tar.gz | tar xz
sudo mv aro /usr/local/bin/
sudo mv libARORuntime.a /usr/local/lib/
sudo mv mlx.metallib /usr/local/bin/   # next to `aro` for `aro ask`

Linux

Download and extract the zip file, then add the directory to your PATH.
Keep aro.exe and libARORuntime.a in the same directory.
