CheatCraft v0.4.0 — Source preview
Pre-releaseCheatCraft is a Windows diagnostic workspace with typed memory searches, comparative refinement, live watches, named snapshot comparisons, and a local MCP adapter for AI clients.
This first public release is a source preview. Download the source ZIP, install 64-bit Python with Tcl/Tk, run Setup.cmd, then Launch.cmd. Detailed setup, architecture, MCP configuration, troubleshooting and limitations are in the README.
Changes include a responsive five-workspace interface, removal of test-session controls from the product, detach and snapshot deletion, background reads, atomic exports, and fixes for cancellation, shutdown and large-integer sorting.
Validation: 16 backend/regression tests, the desktop workflow test, Ruff checks and formatting all pass locally. The packaged MCP executable also completed tool discovery and an actual memory search against the owned fixture.
Distribution limitation: Windows Application Control blocked the unsigned packaged desktop executable (WinError 4551), including outside the sandbox. Its startup was not verified, so no desktop executable is offered in this release. A portable build recipe is included for further validation. The Windows CI template is included under docs; the current publishing credential cannot install workflow files, so no passing CI result is claimed.
The sample target remains test-only and is excluded from the product package. Arbitrary memory editing, anti-cheat evasion, pointer-chain analysis, unknown-initial-value searches, scan continuation and session import are not implemented.
