Tracking 3.0 development

This is a tracking issue for all the initial items that needs to be done as part of the final 3.0.0 release:

• AsciidoctorJ 2.0 integration (Integration asciidoctorj 2.0.0.RC.2 #342)
  • Update to asciidoctorj 2.0.0 (final release)
  • Update to asciidoctorj-pdf 1.5.0-alpha.17
• Asciidoctor.js integration (Support Asciidoctor.js as alternative engine #344)
• Remove deprecated features from 2.x
  • Asciidoctor Compatibility Task (Drop Asciidoctor compatibility task #343)
  • Version assignment (in favour of modules) (Remove deprecated methods on AsciidoctorJ extension #352)
  • extensions (in favour of docExtensions) (Remove deprecated methods on AsciidoctorJ extension #352)
• Confirm JDK12 compatibility (Confirm JDK12 compatibility #353)
• Split PDF plugins into a separate subproject (Split PDF plugin into a separate subproject #356)
• README needs upgrade section from 2.x to 3.0
  • Mention compatibility task (point to 2.0 README).
• Place module versions in property files. (Read AsciidoctorJ(S) versions & associated modules from bundled property files #363)
• DeckTape support (Support DeckTape #376)
• DeckTape testing on GitLab - requires custom Docker image.
• Forward port Fix compatibility with script plugins #390. (Forward-port PR #390 by @lhotari to development-3.x #395).
• Multi-language support (Handle multiple language sourcesets #392, If source filter pattern is specified, multi-language builds report NO-SOURCE. #401)
• Add Leanpub plugin (Add a plugin to support the Leanpub Backend #308)
• Document Leanpub plugin
• Use JRubyGradle 2.0
• Multi-language support (Handle multiple language sourcesets #392, If source filter pattern is specified, multi-language builds report NO-SOURCE. #401, Inject an attribute to indicate that a specific language set is being converted #411)

For release:

• Branch maintenance-2.x from master.
• Merge development-3.x to master
• Update GH-pages landing page and change Latest 2.x development update to Maintenance 2.x update.

Would be nice, but probably won't get done:

• Deck2PDF support (Support Deck2Pdf #362, Handle JavaFX availability #374)
• Remove use of @stepwise in Decktape testing (Do not run DeckTaskFunctionalSpec tests with Stepwise #382).
• Test with two versions of Asciidoctor.js where one is set in the task extension. (Test with two versions of asciidoctor.js in same build script #383)
• Add a test project that will run some compatibility tests where as many as possible plugins are combined. (Compatibility tests using as many asciidoctor-gradle plugins as possible. #520)
• Fix DeckTape PNG/JPG export on Windows (DeckTape cannot add JPG/PNG exports on Windows #381).
