Meltemi v0.1.0
Meltemi v0.1.0 — the first signed release.
Verify before installing
sha256sum --check SHA256SUMS
The checksums cover every asset, including the two installer scripts. SHA256SUMS
itself is signed with the project's minisign key; the detached signature is
SHA256SUMS.minisig.
Publishing the public key is still pending. Until it lands in
docs/release.md,
a reader cannot complete the signature check, so only the checksum step above is
actually available today. It is said here rather than left to be discovered — and
the key belongs in the repository, not on this page: whoever can edit a release
can edit a key printed beside it.
What ships
| Platform | Core (daemon + terminal) | Desktop app |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 10 1809+ / 11 | meltemi-Windows.zip |
meltemi-desktop-Windows.msi (3.91 MB) |
| macOS 13+ | meltemi-macOS.tar.gz |
meltemi-desktop-macOS.dmg (4.36 MB) |
| Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) | meltemi-Linux.tar.gz |
meltemi-desktop-Linux.deb (4.10 MB) |
No artifact embeds a browser engine — each installer uses the operating system's
own web view, which is why all three land in the same size class. There is no
AppImage: that format is self-contained by construction, so it would have to carry
the engine (measured at 75 MB). Outside the Debian family the desktop app builds
from source; the terminal client runs anywhere.
Known limits
Installers carry no platform signature yet — no Authenticode on Windows, no
Apple notarization — so the first run will warn. That debt is declared in
docs/release.md, and it is a certificate problem, not a checksum problem.
Startup and idle-memory figures are published for Windows only; macOS and Linux
wait on reference hardware. See docs/qa/.
