Choose a tag to compare

@ZhiXiao-Lin ZhiXiao-Lin released this 31 Oct 16:06

Aster v0.1.11 for macOS Apple Silicon.

New Features

  • Add one-click copy and hover preview for chat error-card diagnostics.

Improvements

  • Soft-open ModelControl when usage or preference stores are unavailable so live turns match model-check fallback.
  • Keep workspace browser feedback visible while the pane is resizing, and push the native page down under workspace menus.

Bug Fixes

  • Make built-in browser page zoom apply through WKWebView setPageZoom with visible failure feedback.
  • Stop the workspace "+" / file menu from being covered by the embedded page.
  • Fix slash/quick-panel right-arrow tofu inserts on WKWebView.

Validation: focused Studio vitest (browser/ErrorBlock/toolbar), providers control, WAL legacy schema, and CLI P0 oracles re-verified after the fixes. The packaged app is Developer ID signed, Apple notarized and stapled, and passes codesign and Gatekeeper checks.

Signed with Developer ID Application: Lijin Zhu (5L9P7TS6DM). Built from commit 1639ebc with Studio pin 1c86181ad. The Git tag is a distribution reference and does not reproduce this binary from Git alone.

Fixes #250 #251 #252 #253 #254 #255.

Aster v0.1.10 · macOS Apple Silicon

@ZhiXiao-Lin ZhiXiao-Lin released this 31 Oct 11:52

Aster v0.1.10 for macOS Apple Silicon.

Improvements

  • Keep market catalogue fetches on the host OpenAPI proxy so ModelScope CORS no longer blocks the skills and connectors market.

Bug Fixes

  • Accept legacy a3s.code session-store WAL schemas so copied 0.1.8 session data opens on 0.1.10.
  • Treat historical a3s-code agents as local Aster ACP sessions so model catalogue prewarm works after upgrade.
  • Fall back model connectivity checks through ProviderStore when ModelControl has no local configuration.

Validation: workbench, settings and knowledge E2E suites re-verified after the fixes. The packaged app is Developer ID signed, Apple notarized and stapled, and passes codesign and Gatekeeper checks.

Signed with Developer ID Application: Lijin Zhu (5L9P7TS6DM). Built from the local workspace, including the published Studio pin and compatibility fixes. The Git tag is a distribution reference and does not reproduce this binary from Git alone.

Fixes #246 #247 #248 #249.

aster-cli v0.1.7

Choose a tag to compare

@ZhiXiao-Lin ZhiXiao-Lin released this 31 Oct 21:35

aster-cli v0.1.7 — Core / ACP 9.1.6

Borderless Cursor-like composer with half-block vertical halo padding so top/bottom visual distance matches the side chrome pad.
Product rename cleanup: shipped companions and install paths use aster-acp / aster-oci names; install.sh checksums accept sandbox archive members.
macOS shell gates: unescalated auto refuses unqualified native shell; yolo/full-access remains the host escape hatch.
Studio packaging pins and desktop-related CI Node/pnpm fixes required by the shared release tree.

macOS archives include the verified sandbox runtime with Aster and ACP. Installation and self-update reject incomplete archives. The final installed macOS archive must execute a real sandbox command before release assets can be created or uploaded.
Each archive contains the locked release build of Aster 0.1.7 and ACP 9.1.6 from this repository, with their shared BUILD_ID and SHA256SUMS. The binaries are unsigned.
The Linux archive uses x86_64 glibc 2.31. Linux and Windows runtime support is not qualified by the macOS sandbox probe.
Update with aster update, or inspect with aster update --check, then restart the TUI to use the new pair.
Built from ca162c9.

aster-cli v0.1.6

@ZhiXiao-Lin ZhiXiao-Lin released this 31 Oct 08:49

aster-cli v0.1.6 — Core / ACP 9.1.6

Image and image-only prompts now reach image-capable models. Explicit text-only models reject images before admission.
Model context limits follow configured or documented capacities and update when switching models. Unknown capacity remains unknown in the status bar.
Raw reasoning is folded by default and remains available on demand. TUI status chrome stays English independently of the model reply language; internal subagent lifecycle events no longer appear as reasoning text.
Subagent stop requests now reach their owning session and cancel the actual child. Failed stop requests remain retryable.

macOS archives include the verified sandbox runtime with Aster and ACP. Installation and self-update reject incomplete archives. The final installed macOS archive must execute a real sandbox command before release assets can be created or uploaded.
Each archive contains the locked release build of Aster 0.1.6 and ACP 9.1.6 from this repository, with their shared BUILD_ID and SHA256SUMS. The binaries are unsigned.
The Linux archive uses x86_64 glibc 2.31. Linux and Windows runtime support is not qualified by the macOS sandbox probe.

aster-acp v9.1.7

Choose a tag to compare

@ZhiXiao-Lin ZhiXiao-Lin released this 31 Oct 23:13

Core / ACP 9.1.7 release candidate

Scope

  • Release aster-core and aster-acp as version 9.1.7 from one clean, committed source revision.
  • Preserve the existing Rust package names and public APIs. Both packages remain local to this workspace with publish = false; this candidate does not restore registry or foreign-language SDK publishing.
  • Align ACP permission prompts with coding-agent industry practice: the first HITL ask names the execution boundary (workspace sandbox, host escalation, or a single mediated network origin), maps session posture onto the interactive approval closed set for risk copy, and refuses allow-always learning for host or network-grant approvals so a scoped consent cannot widen silently.
  • Explicit deny rules, catastrophic bash denials, and the completion gate remain non-bypassable under every posture, including YOLO.
  • Optional workflow features remain disabled in the default CLI/ACP build.

Required qualification

Build from the repository root with the pinned Rust toolchain. Before tagging, record the exact source and submodule revisions and complete:

  1. cargo fmt -p aster -p aster-core -p aster-acp -- --check
  2. python3 tests/workspace_dependencies.py
  3. python3 tests/studio_checkout.py
  4. python3 tests/cli_pair_delivery.py
  5. python3 tests/aster_cli_linux.py
  6. python3 tests/cli_release_workflow.py
  7. python3 tests/release_governance.py
  8. Focused Core and ACP tests for the permission-boundary changes included in the frozen candidate, including:
    • cargo test --locked -p aster-acp --lib execution_boundary_tests
    • ACP unit regression for the permission ask path
  9. A locked release build of aster and aster-acp, followed by the applicable hosted macOS, Windows, and Linux release lanes.

Do not tag from a dirty worktree or from a revision with unresolved conflicts. Do not treat selected local tests as whole-workspace, real-model, or cross-platform qualification.

Tag the clean candidate as aster-acp-v9.1.7 (never a bare v9.1.7). The release-code.yml workflow must create the Core/ACP Release with --latest=false.

Qualification limits

Scripted ACP and controlled-model checks do not establish real-model Terminal Bench latency or token improvements. A local macOS build does not certify Windows or Linux artifacts. The release evidence must state any remaining failures and untested recovery, multi-platform, and soak scenarios. The hosted Windows lane runs portable Core/ACP tests and the locked ACP release build; it does not claim the full ACP unit suite, whose Unix-specific fixtures require Unix runners.

Mediated-network Gate 4 residuals, macOS descendant-process containment without companions, and the durable single-use approval-proof credential (beyond the existing fact-path coalesce) remain documented follow-ups and are out of scope for 9.1.7.

Local qualification on 2026-10-31

These entries qualify the working-tree candidate only. A clean committed SHA and hosted platform lanes remain required before tagging aster-acp-v9.1.7.

  • cargo test --locked -p aster-acp --lib execution_boundary: 4 passed.
  • cargo test --locked -p aster-acp --lib only_a_learnable_bash: 1 passed (sandboxed learnable path still offers allow-always).
  • python3.12 tests/workspace_dependencies.py: passed.
  • Core and ACP Cargo versions both report 9.1.7; RELEASE_9.1.7.md is present.
  • Locked release build of aster-acp completed; aster-acp --version reports 9.1.7.
  • SHA-256 of the local release binary: e4137e6e03aa0e49543847306e40e8e6f6a0e9fb93386a0e0c4d04ce1b065705 (host-local; not a release asset digest).
  • tests/cli_pair_delivery.py / tests/cli_release_workflow.py / tests/release_governance.py hit environment timeouts under concurrent cargo load; re-run them on the clean candidate before tagging.
