Changes since v2.0.0-alpha1:

  • New Docker based build system available for users (PR: #104)
  • Automatic configuration support via menuconfig (PR: #105)
  • New documentation covering build environment, configuration and flashing. User Guide will be added soon.
  • Bug fixes: #42, #103

Starting with v2.0.0 some features have been desupported and removed:

  • DCC++ protocol support (including JMRI connection support)
  • LocoNet (was never fully implemented)
  • Nextion HMI interface (not working correctly since migration to ESP-IDF, will be moved to standalone device)

New features in v2.0.0:

  • Migration of WebUI from jQuery Mobile to Cash/Spectre.
  • Accessory DB: Mapping of DCC accessory address to OpenLCB events
  • Migration of WebUI to use a websocket.
  • TWAI (CAN) driver rewritten from scratch to improve performance/reliability.
  • Initial ESP32-S3 support.
  • Ability to enable/disable OPS or PROG track via config.
  • Track Current Sense / Utilization moved to ULP co-processor.
  • RailCom driver (ESP32 only for now)
  • ESP-IDF v5.0 support
