What's New in v1.1.0
π¬ 6 Major Features Added
β‘ Virtual / Infinite Scroll
Movies load in batches of 60 at a time β works great with 3000+ movie libraries. The app starts instantly instead of loading everything at once. Scroll to the bottom and the next batch loads automatically.
ποΈ Watched / Unwatched Tracking
- Mark movies watched from the poster (green β tick overlay), the list row, or the movie detail modal
- Filter your library with All / Unwatched / Watched toggle pills in the library header
- Data stored locally in your CineLibrary database
π¦ Collections / Movie Sets
If MediaElch organized your movies into sets (e.g. "The Dark Knight Collection"), they now appear in the sidebar under Collections for one-click filtering.
π€ Export to CSV & HTML
- β Export dropdown in the top bar
- CSV β full metadata, importable into Excel/Sheets
- HTML β dark-themed table with clickable IMDb links and export date, ready to share
πΎ Preferences Persistence
Your sort order (Title / Year / Rating / Runtime / Date Added) and view mode (Grid / List) are saved and restored across restarts.
π Drive Reconnect Toast
Plug in an external drive while the app is open and a toast notification appears in the bottom-right corner. Click Rescan to immediately re-index that drive.
Prerequisites
Your movies must already be scraped by MediaElch before adding them to CineLibrary.
MediaElch reads IMDb/TMDb and writes.nfofiles + downloads posters/fanart alongside your movie files. CineLibrary reads those.nfofiles β it does not scrape metadata itself.
How to Use
- Download
CineLibrary-1.1.0-portable.exe - Place it in a permanent folder (it stores its database next to itself)
- Run it β no installation needed, no dependencies required
- Go to Drives β Add Drive and point it to your movie folder
β οΈ Do not run from Downloads or a temp folder β the database saves next to the.exe, so keep it somewhere permanent.
Upgrading from v1.0.0
Just replace the old .exe with the new one in the same folder. The database (CineLibrary-Data\) carries over automatically. The is_watched column is added via a safe migration on first launch.
