Thermal 1.0

The first release of Thermal: heatmap visualizations for Filament 4 and 5.

Visualizations

Each heatmap is available as a dashboard widget and as a read-only schema entry for infolists, record pages and action modals.

• Calendar: a GitHub-style activity grid with one column per week and one row per weekday, built from values keyed by date.
• Tile: explicitly positioned tiles on a grid you define, such as racks in a server room or desks on a floor plan.
• U.S. States: a ready-made tile layout of the 50 states and Washington, D.C. It accepts abbreviations or full names in any case.

Shared behavior

• Scaling: values are ranked into five levels so outliers and repeated values don't flatten the scale. You can also set custom thresholds.
• Zero and missing stay distinct: zero is drawn solid, missing is drawn outlined. fillMissing() is the opt-in for queries that leave out empty days.
• Appearance: any Filament color, dark mode, a legend and tooltips. Tile labels are picked to reach 4.5:1 contrast.
• Interaction and accessibility: widgets can opt in to cell selection. Interactive heatmaps take one tab stop with arrow, Home and End navigation. Every cell has an accessible description, so meaning doesn't depend on color.
