Bobix 0.1.3

New

• Version shown in the app: next to the name in the control panel, and at the top of the tray menu.

Fixed

• System messages aren't quests: Claude Code also sends its own messages as prompts (a background task ended, a reminder). They replaced the session's quest, cleared its report, brought back hidden pets and filled the log with raw tags. They now show as a short "System" line in the log.
• Session box: space between the buttons and the path, and log times stay on one line (24-hour).

New

• Side sessions (Claude desktop app, Code tab): a session started from another one is a smaller copy of its parent's pet, runs over and stands beside it. The parent shows a count badge (coral when one needs you), and the panel shows which session it came from.
• New version notice: once a day Bobix asks GitHub for the latest release and tells you when a newer one is out, with a notification and a tray item. Nothing about you or your sessions is sent; turn it off in Settings. From this version on, you'll be told about updates.

Fixed

• Approve from Bobix:
  • a frozen Bobix holds Claude for 3 seconds at most, instead of up to 5 minutes;
  • claude -p and Agent SDK runs are never held for an answer.

Changed

• Installers have fixed names, so the download links always give the newest version. Install from these files; building from source is for contributors (development guide).
• Setup and the README say clearly that only Claude Code sessions show up (terminal, IDE, the Code tab), not ordinary chats.

New

• Approve from Bobix: when Claude asks for permission, answer Allow, Always allow or Deny on the pet, in the panel or on the notification (macOS). Unanswered within the time you set (20 s by default, 0 = off), the terminal asks as usual.
• Drag a pet along the edge to move it out of the way.
• Hide or show any pet by hand (its card, the panel, the tray). A hidden pet comes back when its session gets a new prompt or needs you.
• Sleeping pets leave the screen after the minutes you set (30 by default).
• .deb package for Ubuntu and Debian. The AppImage is gone; other distributions run from source.
• Copy diagnostics in Setup, for bug reports.

Fixed

• Linux on Wayland: pets stay on top (Bobix runs through XWayland). A click on a terminal session's pet opens it in the panel and says which terminal and folder it runs in.
• Much lighter: about 1–2 % CPU while pets sit still, nothing drawn while none are out.
• Quitting no longer errors; a failed-open message shows once.
• Opening another Bobix version while one runs now says so; start at login points at the copy you run.
