Fixes (Bad Request / invocation)

• Bad Request fixed: image_path now accepts local file paths, http(s) URLs, data URIs (data:image/...;base64,), and raw base64 strings, so text-only models can pass any image reference without errors.
• Force usage for pure-text models: tool description now explicitly states this is the ONLY way to read images when using a text-only model, and instructs the model to always call describe_image (never dump image bytes/base64 into context).
• Added User-Agent header for URL image downloads.
• Cleaner error messages for missing files, malformed base64, and download failures.

Note

opencode MCP request timeout defaults to 5000ms; set "timeout": 120000 for this server (already done in the installed config).

Fixes

• Fix MCP -32001 Request timed out: images are now downscaled and JPEG-compressed before upload, cutting payload and API latency so requests stay under the MCP client timeout (default 5000ms).
• Fix empty descriptions: step-3.7-flash sometimes puts the answer in reasoning_content/reasoning with empty content; server now falls back automatically.
• Fix Windows Chinese garbling: stdout/stdin switched to UTF-8 byte IO.
• Add ping method support and configurable STEP_TIMEOUT/STEP_MAX_DIMENSION/STEP_JPEG_QUALITY.

Usage note

opencode MCP request timeout defaults to 5000ms. If you still hit timeouts, set in opencode config:
