Flask React Tube

This is a simple web application that allows users to upload and vote on videos. The application is built using Flask, React, and sqlite. This is not a production-ready application. It is intended to be used as a learning tool.

Setup

Clone the repository to your local machine.

Install the dependencies using the following commands:

$ python -m venv env
$ source env/bin/activate.
$ pip install -r requirements.txt.
$ npm install

Setup the Database

$ python manage.py db init
$ python manage.py db migrate
$ python manage.py db upgrade
$ alembic init alembic
$ flask db init
$ flask db migrate -m "video"
$ flask db upgrade

Run the application using

honcho start -f Procfile

Database shell

$ python shell.py

Commands

# Create a video
v = Video(title='Hello', filepath='static')
db.session.add(v)
db.session.commit()

# Get all videos
Video.query.all()

# Delete all videos
db.session.query(Video).delete()
db.session.commit()
