The MCP plugin example now ships a committed, self-contained Node bundle (dist/mcp-plugin.mjs) that both plugin manifests run with node, replacing source-only bun start. Plugin users need Node >=20 instead of Bun, and startup installs nothing. just check rebuilds the bundle, the release script rebuilds it after the version bump, and the optional docs/node-distro.md guide is removed.
