Copy Text: select an area and press Cmd+C (or the text button) to copy the words in it, recognized on your Mac, with a scan sound to confirm. Plus update checks in Settings: Check Now, or an opt-in daily check.

  • Play a scan sound when text is copied
  • Add update checks: Check Now and an opt-in daily check
  • Add Copy Text: copy the text in a selection instead of an image

Install: brew trust --tap beqaabu/tap && brew install --cask beqaabu/tap/snappy-app, or unzip, move Snappy.app to Applications and open it. It isn't signed with an Apple Developer ID, so the first time macOS will block it: click Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Then grant Screen Recording access when asked.
