Changed

  • The README and the website name the current release in their install commands and pinned protocol commit. cargo xtask status rewrites each marked release-pin region from the newest release tag, and status-check fails while one lags. A release commit keeps pinning the previous release's commit, since a commit cannot name itself; the next commit moves it forward. Pasted outputs still say which aep produced them.

  • SQLite and PostgreSQL plans are selected from aep.project/5: store: { sqlite: { path: <file> } } and store: { postgres: { url: <url> } }. A /1 project using sqlite: <file> or postgres: <url> is rewritten by hand as /5 with a planning_scope.

  • --store <dir> with no project around it opens a Git-native store: documents in <dir>, evidence under <dir>/evidence (.engineering/evidence when <dir> is .engineering/planning). A .engineering/ with no project.yaml is the Git-native layout at planning/ and evidence/.

  • aep plan store migrate git gives an artifact the journal never moved, whose status is not its kind's initial state, one imported transition from the initial state to its status (at revision 2 or later), so a /1 store migrated and committed in one commit validates.

Removed

  • The hybrid planning backend (aep-backend-hybrid, store: hybrid), with its aep plan artifact divergences and aep plan artifact catch-up verbs and aep plan conformance --backend hybrid. entity-remote is no longer a dependency.
  • The aep.project/1 Markdown journal layout as a store: the store-wide journal.jsonl writer, its hash chain, drift and forged-revision detection, and the journal reconciliation in validate (with the pre_provider and chain_* fields of validate --format json). Every verb now refuses an aep.project/1 project file, or a file with no version, naming aep plan store migrate git --verify — which this release still runs, through a read-only journal reader. --store <dir> refuses a directory that still holds a journal.jsonl the same way. The AEP_NO_UPGRADE_NOTICE variable is gone with the notice it hid.

Fixed

  • Loading the protocol tree of a verified Git-pinned snapshot opens no directory: its files are listed from the stamp or the sealed manifest the verification just checked, with the same ordering, dotfile and extension rules as the directory walk. A local protocols: path is still walked. With a stamped pin, aep plan artifact new task makes 0 directory opens under protocol-sources (was 40) and aep plan artifact list 0 (was 20); file opens are unchanged.

  • aep plan artifact validate on an aep.project/5 store accepts an artifact that predates the Git-native layout and was first moved in it from a status other than its kind's initial state; one born in the layout is still held to start there.

  • validate --outcome-within dates a review in an aep.project/5 store from the commit that added it, or now when it is not committed; it had no creation record to date from and reported nothing.

  • aep plan artifact validate no longer reports a review-result whose findings block is [], the block an approve writes, as stating its findings as prose only; that warning is kept for a review with no block at all, and its text no longer carries a run of spaces (#60).
