Changes
The learning runtime is exercised against author-published, checksum-locked Extended Drawers 3.0.4+mc.1.21.1, Tech Reborn / RebornCore 5.11.19 and Farmer's Delight Refabricated 1.21.1-3.2.8 on a native Fabric server. Scenarios cover two independent physical learning contexts, exact compensation, a held-out target after an unrelated task and JSON/runtime restart, public energy units, real smelting and heated cooking, cross-mod conservation and a two-agent dependency handoff with exclusive port leases.
A bounded rule archive and task timelines preserve past evidence without restoring stale executor ownership. Rule recall never invents additional support. Plan repair recalls relevant archived operators and selects a backward-relevant subset before applying search limits, while retaining achieved milestones and the owner's acceptance conditions. Unknown consumed inputs cannot be reused symbolically.
The new transfer_port tool moves actual items through public loader interfaces, verifies carried inventory deltas, checks visible faces and interaction permission, and respects owner-scoped resource leases. Learned transfers bind the action to the same observed effect target, dimension, face and actual input, and require an exact reverse compensation. inspect_gui can read a carried item's public acceptance, free capacity and visible menu layout without moving it. Acceptance alone does not identify a recipe role or prove production.
Team jobs have immutable dependency/acceptance contracts and expiring leases. Completion requires the current worker's fresh world observations. Shared rules start as untrusted candidates with zero local supports and no executor; they cannot overwrite contrary local evidence. Reload, memory reset and lifecycle cleanup withdraw obsolete shared state.
Known official OpenAI Chat and Responses models receive explicit breakpoints on declared durable prefixes; volatile world suffixes are excluded. Unknown endpoints retain their existing contract, and stateful incremental Responses chains are preserved. Cache-write tokens, missing usage reports and actual hits remain separate; no paid prewarm calls are added.
Memory envelopes advance to version 15. Old records remain readable, but missing context and changed mod/environment fingerprints require revalidation. The toolchain pins Gradle 8.14.3, Fabric Loom 1.13.6, Fabric Loader 0.20.1 and Fabric API 0.116.17+1.21.1.
Validation and scope
Release gates run component regressions, five isolated native baseline scenarios, and storage, industry and combined real-mod environments. Both loader artifacts require correct metadata, required production classes, exclusion of test/third-party classes and SHA-256 checksums. Real-mod dependencies remain test-only downloads; they are not redistributed inside MineAgent.
These are production-component and native-server engineering tests with paused model deliberation. They do not establish autonomous model discovery success rates, arbitrary modpack compatibility, AGI, zero defects or monetary savings. No paid model evaluation was performed. Fabric is supported; NeoForge remains experimental and has not undergone the same real-mod runtime matrix.

Changes
This release adds an observable learning loop for unfamiliar mod content: inspect public block capabilities, visible actor types/UUIDs, carried item tags/tooltips and opened merchant offers; propose a conditioned experiment; execute through normal admission; inspect the result; reflect; and transfer only after independent verification. Unsupported channels remain unknown, units remain explicit and private NBT is excluded.
Learned contracts include observed prerequisites, prior state, typed identity, parameters and environment. Contradictory observations revoke conflicting adapters and plan authority immediately, even when supporting a different hypothesis. One persisted recovery allowance permits two additional physical probes; two fresh independent supports are required before reuse. Successful server data reload stops pending learning and invalidates old rules and predictions. Raw audit experiences remain available for reflection.
Bounded verified-experience search can repair a blocked plan suffix while preserving achievements, unrelated branches, constraints and final goal conditions. Block and entity transfer bindings keep action and verification targets aligned, and runtime conditions are rechecked before execution. Attack variants cannot masquerade as compensated experiments.
Stable experience references are appended only when changed, retaining transient observations at the request tail. Cache accounting distinguishes missing reports from explicit zero, exposes coverage and parses malformed optional usage without discarding valid answers. Actual caching and prices depend on the official, relay or local endpoint; no universal cache control is forced on unknown services.
Memory envelopes advance to version 14 and conditioned contexts to version 2. Older rules retain audit history but require fresh verification before predictive or automatic execution reuse. This is external experience learning, not autonomous model-weight training.
Release verification now runs component regressions plus an isolated headless Minecraft test mod covering physical learning, transfer, changed-outcome relearning, actor/item observations and actual data reload. Both loader JARs must pass metadata, required-class and checksum checks; the fixture must be absent from production packages. The linked design and validation records describe the evidence and usage.

MineAgent v0.5.0
MineAgent 0.5.0 is a feature release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and Java 21.
This release connects verified mechanism experiments to bounded outcome prediction, learning-progress-guided exploration, short compositional transition planning, and target-bound executable adapters. Evidence is scoped to its parameters, prior state and environment; duplicate physical setups do not create independent support. Counterexamples require revalidation. This is external experience learning, not autonomous model-weight training.
Long-horizon plan steps can declare live prerequisites. The planner distinguishes missing observations from observed contradictions, retains historical achievements when resources are consumed, schedules ready work by priority and remaining dependency depth, and requests a repair when the next executable window loses its prerequisites. Step readiness and executor ownership are recomputed after restart.
Built-in model transports use independent companion sessions. Anthropic requests can cache both the static instruction prefix and the declared durable conversation tail before transient live observations. Cache reads, writes, tool calls and action terminals are accounted for separately. Actual cache availability, model behavior and pricing depend on the selected official, relay or local endpoint.
The update also fixes nullable numeric validation, adds controlled planning/learning/HTTP regressions, and verifies tag, generated release notes, loader metadata and artifact identity before publication. Legacy mechanism rules with caller-named contexts require fresh physical evidence before automatic adapter reuse.

MineAgent v0.4.0
MineAgent 0.3.6 is an alpha release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and requires Java 21.
This release adds human-controlled, independently persisted game modes for every companion. Configure & Create offers Survival, Creative, Adventure, and Hardcore and defaults every omitted or blank mode to Survival. Companion Chat now lets the human select any owned companion and change that companion's mode at any time.
Survival, Creative, and Adventure are backed by vanilla GameType, abilities, and interaction restrictions. Vanilla Hardcore is world-scoped, so MineAgent implements the accurate per-companion equivalent: Survival rules plus persistent permanent death. Once a Hardcore companion dies, its body is permanently locked: mode changes, /mineagent respawn, and world rejoin cannot revive it. The owner must create a new companion.
The fake-player game-mode wrapper no longer hard-codes Survival after a mode change. Creation applies the selected mode before registration, runtime changes cancel actions accepted under the previous permission model, and the server validates both companion ownership and the four-value mode vocabulary. Mode changes are rejected for permanently dead Hardcore bodies. The LLM receives the selected mode as trusted context but has no tool or endpoint with which to change it.
Old companion stores without a mode load as Survival. Game mode and Hardcore death state survive owner disconnects and world reloads. Both loader modules compile from the same shared UI and network contract.

MineAgent v0.3.5
MineAgent 0.3.5 is an alpha release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and requires Java 21.
This release unifies companion creation and model connection into one configuration screen. Users can select a compact convenience preset or directly enter a registered protocol adapter, arbitrary model ID, API key, and official, relay, aggregator, or self-hosted base URL. Presets are field fillers, not a model allow-list.
The built-in protocol surface now includes openai-compatible Chat Completions, anthropic-compatible Messages, and gemini-compatible generateContent. All previous provider IDs remain available for stored configuration and companions. Compatible endpoints can use model IDs that are not listed by MineAgent, including models released after this mod version. New incompatible private protocols remain extensible through LLMProviderRegistry; an unpublished future wire protocol cannot be guaranteed before an adapter exists.
Configuration and creation now travel through a dedicated validated payload on both loaders. API keys no longer enter slash commands, the server sends only a non-secret configuration summary, and configuration is committed only after companion creation succeeds. A saved key is reused only while protocol, model, and endpoint remain unchanged, preventing accidental credential forwarding to a newly selected relay. OpenAI-compatible local services can intentionally run without authentication.
Regression tests cover arbitrary model IDs, credential and field limits, endpoint normalization, and protocol aliases. Both loader modules compile from the same shared UI and API contract.

MineAgent v0.3.1
MineAgent 0.3.1 is an alpha release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and requires Java 21.
This release strengthens complex single-player task closure on top of the v0.3.0 L4 adaptation runtime. Strategic goals now have explicit acceptance state above the tactical graph, suffix repair preserves executor-verified checkpoints, and a completed action window cannot claim the owner's objective without machine-observed final conditions.
plan_acquisition builds a bounded recursive item dependency DAG from live inventory, actually observed assets, and registered recipes. The new vanilla use_item task handles immediate, consumable, and charged lifecycles, while wait_for gives furnaces, modded machines, GUI transitions, dimensions, blocks, and entities stable asynchronous conditions and diagnostic deadlines.
Plan replacement is rejected while a body task or skill owns its evidence binding. Survival preemption reconstructs continuous item use, empty GUI slots can be verified correctly, and unloaded chunks cannot prove entity absence. Version 10 memory remains backward-compatible with v1-v9 files and never restores in-flight body ownership.
Regression tests cover L3/L4 planning, memory, skills, mechanism exploration, realtime cognition, suffix repair, strategic acceptance, restart behavior, and legacy plan-state migration. This release provides general mechanisms rather than a hard-coded completion route; it does not claim deterministic success across arbitrary seeds, private mod APIs, all modpacks, or competitive servers.

Install exactly one JAR matching your mod loader. Do not install the Fabric and NeoForge artifacts together.
The NeoForge build uses the same complete client UI, key bindings, HUD/debug views, and loader-neutral network contract as Fabric. It remains experimental because its in-game compatibility coverage is smaller. Include the loader, exact versions, reproduction steps, and sanitized logs in bug reports.

MineAgent v0.3.0
MineAgent 0.3.0 is an alpha release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and requires Java 21.
This release implements the L4 unfamiliar-environment and mod-mechanism adaptation loop on top of the v0.2.6 event-sourced world model and verified skill runtime. Successful inspections build bounded profiles for registered blocks, items, menus, recipes, entities, state properties, and GUI slots. Controlled experiments compare hypotheses under a persistent resource budget, freeze a pre-action baseline, require a newer correlated observation, and keep execution failures inconclusive.
State-changing experiments require an explicit verified compensation. High-risk probes and irreversible autonomous crafting experiments are rejected. A rule needs support from at least two independent contexts before confirmation; counterexamples lower confidence and invalidate generated adapters. Confirmed action rules compile into ordinary postcondition-checked skills, so reuse remains subject to SkillRuntime, scheduler admission, survival priorities, and owner-safety constraints.
Rules are scoped to a fingerprint of Minecraft, loader, loaded mod versions, and observable registries. A changed environment marks old rules stale until revalidated. Version 9 memory remains backward-compatible with v1-v8 files and restores compatible knowledge without restoring an in-flight experiment or body ownership. Goal-conditioned recall exposes only a small relevant rule subset to limit prompt tokens.
The release includes 59 passing Fabric regression tests. These cover causal baselines, independent support, contradictions, stale-environment revalidation, compensation requirements, structured GUI transitions, restart behavior, probe selection, planning, memory, skills, and realtime cognition. This is black-box adaptation to observable game contracts; it does not claim universal support for arbitrary private mod APIs, all modpacks, competitive servers, or autonomous full-game completion.

MineAgent v0.2.6
MineAgent 0.2.6 is an alpha release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and requires Java 21.
This release focuses on long-session intelligence and responsiveness. Long-term recall is now conditioned on the latest owner objective, strategic goal, and active plan step. Verified world-action outcomes and owner goals persist, while routine scans and derived asset projections remain volatile. Legacy semantic and learned-skill pollution is filtered during backward-compatible v8 memory migration.
Repeated blocked heartbeats and equivalent cognition/replan events are coalesced before they can wake or cancel LLM calls. Dynamic tools stay exposed for one owner objective, discovery results no longer duplicate complete schemas, and routine follow-up generations use a bounded output budget without constraining initial strategy or large build payloads.
The release includes 46 passing Fabric regression tests covering planning, semantic memory, asset persistence, goal-conditioned retrieval, skills, exploration, and cognition. These changes improve grounding, latency, cache reuse, and token efficiency, but this alpha does not claim that arbitrary modpacks, competitive servers, or autonomous full-game completion have been validated.

MineAgent v0.2.5
MineAgent 0.2.5 is an alpha release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and requires Java 21.
This release completes the L3 closed-loop execution architecture: learned skills now run one verified step at a time; an event-sourced semantic world model supplies temporal evidence; a hierarchical rolling planner repairs invalid plan suffixes; and a risk-bounded mechanism explorer supports falsifiable experiments with unfamiliar mod content. Multi-turn skills are learned only from fully successful verified episodes.
These systems materially improve autonomy, recovery, grounding, and token efficiency, but this alpha does not claim that arbitrary modpacks, competitive servers, or autonomous full-game completion have been validated.
