Simple Dialler 1.2.0
A more polished native macOS interface for Simple Dialler: compact layout, clearer typography, familiar system icons, grouped Account and Audio settings, and light/dark appearance support. Keyboard calling, recent numbers and audio controls remain available.
The README now explains why Andy built a pared-back phone app for his desk and includes refreshed screenshots using example details.
Download the arm64 ZIP for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 27 or later. A SIP account is required. The app is ad-hoc signed, not notarised; see the README for first-launch instructions. SIP signalling and audio remain unencrypted UDP/RTP.
Includes matching complete source and SHA-256 checksums. Built from 388c727. Local regression tests, independent correctness/security review, release packaging and signature checks passed. Live provider calls and physical headset/sleep-wake behaviour have not been revalidated for this release.
Simple Dialler 1.1.0
Simple Dialler 1.1.0 adds recent numbers and missed-call history, clearer call errors and reconnect, persistent microphone and speaker choices, a local microphone level check, a connected-call timer and a new telephone Dock icon. Wake and network recovery have also been improved.
Download the macOS arm64 ZIP, unzip it and move Simple Dialler.app to Applications. Requires Apple Silicon, macOS 27 or later, and a SIP account. The app is ad-hoc signed and is not notarised; macOS may block the first launch. See the README for opening instructions.
The matching complete source archive and SHA256SUMS are included. Built from commit 7040dce with pinned dependencies. Offline tests, audio-resource lifecycle checks, UI geometry checks, architecture and signature verification passed. Live provider calls, physical headset switching and real sleep/wake scenarios remain unverified for this release. SIP signalling and call audio remain unencrypted UDP/RTP.
Simple Dialler 1.0.1
Simple Dialler now shows Connected in the window and menu status, without displaying the SIP provider.
Download Simple-Dialler-1.0.1-macOS-arm64.zip, unzip it and move Simple Dialler.app into Applications.
- Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 27 or later.
- Includes the app icon and menu-bar access. No Homebrew or developer tools needed to run it.
- Ad-hoc signed, not notarised by Apple; macOS may block the first launch.
- GPL-3.0-or-later source, complete dependency sources, build recipes and licence notices are included in the matching source archive.
- The release excludes optional G.722.1 and iLBC codecs; standard G.711 PCMU/PCMA remain available. SIP uses UDP and audio uses unencrypted RTP.
Verify the downloads using SHA256SUMS. Automated offline checks cover dial/account validation, SIP lifecycle and the incoming/outgoing callback race. Live registration was checked on the installed update; live audio testing was performed on the earlier build.
