Welcome to the psyxe-app wiki!

Thanks for trying out my app. You have 14 days from the time you first launch the app until you either pay for the app and install a license key or the app will degrade to the level of the free, open-source mcp-server found at https://psyxe.app.

Out of the box, the app won't do much until you at least point it to an LLM model (local or cloud). You can do that in the Settings tab. You will next want to choose your preferred temp units (F/C) and give a local address if you want to be able to ask questions like "What is the weather forecast for today" without having to provide your local area each time.

The app is an agent harness and expects access to tools. The app provides a couple dozen tools to talk to Apple Notes, Reminders, and Contacts. Then you can click on the Chat tab and start talking to your AI model and immediately ask questions about your Apple Reminders, Notes, Contacts and Files. Reminders, Notes, and Contacts all benefit from semantic search. File searches lean on the spotlight utility "mdfind", mostly because it is wicked fast. For web search I chose Brave Search API. For weather, you can use the Apple Weather API if you are an apple dev or it will default to Open-Meteo.

If you setup the imap info, you can then communicate with the app over email.
And if you are a trader and have a Schwab account, you can get access to stock data.

To get started, you will want to take a look at the .env.example file located in the code section of this repo. That will give you a template to follow to use to enter all your various api keys to models and services. You can then import that into the pro.psyxe.app to save you extra typing.
