Home5 1.0.3
What's new
- Your own certificates for HTTPS. Home Assistant behind a reverse proxy or ingress with its own certificate authority now works over
https://: put the authority's.crtfile in/data/homebrew/PPSA11019/assets/, and Home5 trusts it alongside the console's and its own. Thanks to @tonytwostep for this one. - Coming from 1.0.2: your rooms and sign-in stay. If you add a
.crtfile, keep a copy: a clean reinstall replaces the app's folder.
Home5 1.0.2
What's new
- Search what goes in a room. In the list of everything from Home Assistant, △ searches by name, area or entity id (any case; every word you type has to match), and □ clears the search. L2 / R2 still show one kind at a time.
- Nothing but your rooms on the home screen. The card that added to a room and the New room tab are gone. Both are in the menu (Options): Add to the room is its first line, and New room is further down. An empty room, or no rooms yet, says where to find them.
- Focus after adding. Back from the list, the room's first card is focused.
- Coming from 1.0.1: your rooms and sign-in stay.
Home5 1.0.1
Home5 1.0.1
Your rooms, your way: nothing is put in a room for you any more, and the rooms are tabs along the top.
What's new
- Rooms of your own. On the first start Home5 asks you to make a room: name it, then choose what goes in it from everything in Home Assistant (L2 / R2 show one kind at a time: lights, switches, blinds, heating, locks, media, scenes, sensors; ✕ puts one in or takes it out). Home Assistant's areas are no longer rooms by themselves.
- Scenes in rooms. Scenes, scripts and buttons go in a room as cards, run with ✕. Sensors show under the cards.
- Rooms along the top. The rooms are tabs at the top of the screen, then New room. The cards are four across; a room's last card adds to it.
- Delete a room from the home screen. Go up to the tabs and press □ on a room (asked first). Rooms also move left and right from the menu.
- Coming from 1.0.0: the rooms you made there stay, with what you added to them.
Home5 1.0.0
Home Assistant on a PS5 that runs homebrew. The app is PPSA11019, its tile is Home5, under Media.
Install
- Download
PPSA11019.zip, unzip it and copy thePPSA11019folder to the console the way you add any homebrew app folder (for example to/data/homebrew/for ShadowMountPlus). - Start Home5 from Media and sign in with your Home Assistant's address (
http://192.168.1.20:8123, by IP address), username and password. Two-step sign-in works. Or put a long-lived token inhome5.txton a USB drive (see the README).
What it does
- Your rooms are Home Assistant's areas, with their devices: lights, switches, fans, blinds, thermostats, locks, media players, scenes, scripts and sensors.
- ✕ switches a device, L2 / R2 dim and brighten (the triggers push back), △ opens a light or thermostat.
- The light bar glows in the colour of the light you are on.
- Add devices to other rooms, rename, reorder, make your own rooms: kept on the PS5 only, Home Assistant is never changed.
- Home Assistant's notifications show as the console's notifications.
Limits
homeassistant.localdoesn't work on the PS5: use the IP address.- A self-signed
https://certificate is refused (a Nabu Casa address works). - No cameras, alarm panels or vacuums yet.
