RD Panel 0.16.0
Share links turn on in the panel, a dropped terminal comes back with its shells, and the Windows installer stops arriving broken.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.16.0New
- Share links are a switch in the panel (Settings → Branding → Share page) instead of a redeploy.
RDPANEL_SHARE_LINKS_ENABLEDis only the starting value now, and the section is there even while the feature is off — it used to be hidden behind the very flag that turned it on. - The web client's terminal can open as administrator on a Windows device: it asks for a Windows administrator account, which the device verifies itself and refuses unless it really is one, and the shells then run under the device's own account. The password is held in the page and stored nowhere, so reattaching asks again.
- A monitor picker on the toolbar: the device's monitors with their names and resolutions, instead of stepping through them one at a time.
- Inline images in the terminal — SIXEL and iTerm's protocol, so
timg, chafaand the plotting tools draw for real. Not from a Windows device: the pseudoconsole there rebuilds the output from a text buffer and an image has no place in it. - The session settings and the default connection settings are centred modals with display and control side by side, instead of a side sheet and one long column.
- A terminal left open stays open: it probes an idle connection, which a relay drops after 30 seconds of silence.
Fixes
- A dropped terminal no longer loses its shells. Every real drop — a sleeping laptop, a relay timing out — looked like the device hanging up, so the panel forgot the shells' service id while the device kept them running, with nothing in the protocol to find them again; on an account whose shells are stored server side they were deleted for every browser at once. The terminal now reconnects and reattaches, and only forgets a service when its shells are known to be over.
- The preconfigured Windows installer is only offered when its settings fit a name Windows will not cut. The length was checked against the 255 characters NTFS allows for one name, but MAX_PATH covers the whole path, so a name that fit arrived truncated — and because the settings live at the end of it, the client then started with no server configured and said nothing. The relay is left out of the name as well, since hbbs tells every client which relay to use; it is still shown on the page and in the config string.
- The PowerShell install command asks for administrator rights instead of needing them, and stops when the prompt is refused. RustDesk applies
--configonly when it is installed and elevated, and unelevated it prints one line and exits, which looked exactly like success. It also installs only when RustDesk is missing, and asks first: an existing installation of any kind — the EXE, the MSI, winget, a per-user copy — now just gets the settings, instead of a failed install over it.

RD Panel 0.15.0
Connection settings before you connect, settings remembered per device, and whole screens in Edge.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.15.0New
- Connection settings in the web client (the sliders button next to the connect form's title): the defaults for new connections — codec, image quality and frame rate, view, true color, cursor, pointer input, keyboard mode, sound, clipboard.
- What you change in a session's settings is kept for that device, like the desktop client's per-device settings; Reset to the defaults in the session settings goes back.
Fixes
- Remote screens are whole again in Edge on Windows: with the codec on "Auto" the browser no longer offers H.265, which Edge decoded into a zoomed corner of the screen. H.265 can still be chosen in the settings.

RD Panel 0.14.7
The web terminal works with the phone keyboard's editing keys, and recent devices let you choose the mode.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.7Changes
- A recent device in the web client fills in its ID, so you choose Connect, Files only or Terminal; devices opened in any mode now show up there.
- "Remember password" in the Files only and Terminal modes too.
- The arrows of the phone keyboard's editing panel all work in the terminal, and Yandex Keyboard's |< and >| work as Home and End.
- The password form, the selection menu and the buttons over the terminal take taps again (0.14.5 covered them).

RD Panel 0.14.6
Typing in the web terminal on phones is right again.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.6Changes
- Letters no longer come out twice in the web terminal with Yandex Keyboard and similar keyboards (0.14.5 resent the whole word on every letter).
- The arrows of the keyboard's editing panel keep moving the shell's cursor.

RD Panel 0.14.5
Select text with a finger in the web terminal, and frames without gaps.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.5Changes
- Web terminal: a long press selects a word, dragging extends it, and a menu offers Copy, Paste and Select all; a long press no longer pastes the clipboard.
- The terminal renders with WebGL where available, so frames, TUIs and powerline prompts no longer have gaps on phones.
- The cursor keys of the keyboard's editing panel (Yandex Keyboard, Gboard) move the cursor in the shell.
- Hidden extra keys come back from a keyboard button in the terminal's header.

RD Panel 0.14.4
The web terminal on phones, fixed after a live test, and pages that fit a phone screen.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.4Changes
- Web terminal on phones: smooth scrolling with momentum (no more one line per swipe, no pull-to-refresh), no gap above the keyboard, and "Send letters as you type" (on by default) so the shell highlights and completes while you type with Gboard or Yandex keyboards.
- Extra keys like Termux (from 0.14.3): two rows, more layers behind the pinned ▲ key; a swipe down over ▲ hides them, a button bottom left brings them back.
- Resizing garbles the terminal history much less on Windows devices; font size goes down to 5.
- Pages no longer run off the screen on phones: identity providers, the server page (command line, exe name, manual connection parameters), About.
- The web client's device ID field uses the normal keyboard, so pasting from the keyboard's clipboard works.

RD Panel 0.14.3
Termux-style keys on phones, and a new icon.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.3Changes
- Extra keys in the web terminal and remote desktop are laid out like Termux: two rows that fit the screen, and the pinned ▲ key opens more layers (F1–F12, ^C ^D ^Z ^L ^R, Paste, symbols). Swipe up on
/or-for\or|. - Sticky Ctrl, Alt and Shift in the terminal (Shift+Tab; Shift, then Enter for a new line). In desktop sessions a latched Ctrl, Alt or Win also applies to the next letter typed on the phone keyboard.
- The on-screen keyboard no longer covers the terminal, and holding a key no longer selects its label.
- New icon (a monitor with a cog) in the same style as the rdweb app's, also on the login page and for "Add to Home Screen".

RD Panel 0.14.2
A better web terminal on phones.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.2Changes
- Pinch with two fingers to change the terminal font size.
- Icons in shell prompts (oh-my-posh, starship) are shown at their normal size instead of squashed.
- The extra keys on touch screens are larger, and the arrow keys repeat while you hold them.
Built with hbbs/hbbr from bropines/rustdesk-server@f8f2fdc.
RD Panel 0.14.1
The web client's server check can now verify the server key.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.1New
WS_KEY_EXCHANGE=Ymakes hbbs prove its key on WebSocket connections too, the way it already does on TCP. The web client's server check can then tell whether the key you entered is the right one before you connect to a device. It is off by default, and clients that don't use it keep working.

RD Panel 0.14.0
Share your server with a link, a much better web terminal, and shells you can return to from any device.
docker pull ghcr.io/bropines/rdpanel:0.14.0New
- Share links: send anyone a link to a public page with everything needed to connect to this server: a Windows installer that is already set up, packages for the other systems, a QR code for phones and the settings. Links can be permanent or expire, can limit downloads, show how often they were used, and can be revoked. Admins can let groups create links. Off by default: set
RDPANEL_SHARE_LINKS_ENABLED=trueand route/s/on your public host (see docs/share-links.md). - Terminal: tabs; shells survive a dropped connection and come back with their output; Shift+Enter for a new line in CLIs; Option as Alt on a Mac; search, clickable links, copy on select and right-click paste, font size keys, emoji widths, and Nerd Font icons for prompts.
- Your shells follow you: open the terminal on the same device from another browser or phone and choose to return to the shells you left running, or close them. Saved in your account only.
- Files: in Chrome and Edge, a folder from your computer can sit next to the remote one for copying either way.
- Session: tap the status dot to see the connection route, relay, encryption and live video stats.
Changes
- Pasting with Cmd+V from a Mac works on the remote computer, and Ctrl+V no longer types "vv".
- "Not on the ID server" now appears only after a device has been missing from the ID server for 90 seconds, so restarts no longer trigger it.
- On phones the toolbar handle is larger.
