This is the first release of Butil, a utility library designed to simplify environment variable retrieval.

New Features

Package: env

Provides a convenient way to fetch environment variables with support for default values and type conversions.

Available Methods:

  • env.Get("key", "default_value"): Fetches the value of the specified environment variable. Returns "default_value" if the variable is not set.
  • env.GetInt("key", 12): Fetches the value as an integer. Returns 12 if the variable is not set or cannot be converted to an integer.
  • env.MustGet("key"): Fetches the value of the specified environment variable. Panics if the variable is not set.
