  • Added checkUpdateIos() to check whether a newer version of your app is on the App Store. It looks the app up by bundle ID in the device's App Store storefront, compares versions numerically, and returns an AppUpdateInfoIos with an UpdateAvailabilityIos value (updateAvailable, updateNotAvailable, installedNewer or updateIncompatible) plus the App Store ID ready for showUpdateForIos. Failures throw a PlatformException with code MISSING_BUNDLE_ID, STOREFRONT_UNAVAILABLE, NETWORK_ERROR, HTTP_ERROR, INVALID_RESPONSE, APP_NOT_FOUND or INVALID_VERSION. Calling it on a platform other than iOS throws UnsupportedError.
  • BREAKING: Removed showUpdate(), deprecated since 2.0.0. Use showUpdateForIos() on iOS, and checkUpdateAndroid() with startImmediateUpdateAndroid() or startFlexibleUpdateAndroid() on Android.
  • README: documented checkUpdateIos(), its fields, error codes, limitations and privacy, and added it to the features list and comparison table.
