Don't search for 0.3.0 of @bump-sh/agent-widget, it was unpublished due to a missing bump of the @bump-sh/agent-conversation 🙂

🆕 New protocol for the conversation layer: the agent now speaks AG-UI!

The client widget now speaks an improved protocol with the Agent backend and follows the AG-UI specification.
See #8 for full details.

⚠ This is a breaking change as we will update the backend to only support AG-UI protocol starting 6th of october 2026 10a.m CEST.
⚠ Upgrade to >=0.3.1 of @bump-sh/agent-client is thus mandatory.

v0.2.0 — New allowedTools option & widget sendMessage() method

@bump-sh/agent-widget

  • A new allowedTools configuration option can be set when initializing a widget to “limit” the available tools for the given Widget
import { Widget } from "@bump-sh/agent-widget"

new Widget({ endpoint: "https://your-host/demo/weather/agent", allowedTools: ["today", "rain", "forecast"] })
  • A new method is available on an instance of a Widget: sendMessage(content). This is helpful when you want to programmatically send a message in the widget conversation, for example when opening the widget.
import { Widget } from "@bump-sh/agent-widget"

const widget = new Widget({ endpoint: "https://your-host/demo/weather/agent", mode: "inline", target: document.querySelector("#my-agent-ui") })
// Start a conversation directly
widget.sendMessage("Hi, I'm a friendly user and I need help on how to use this website")
  • 🐛 minor bug fix on markdown rendering of some LLM models response (which doesn't add a whitespace between markdown heading syntax and the heading title...)

@bump-sh/agent-conversation

The conversation layer allows a new allowedTools configuration option.
