Sticky Notes+ 0.3.3
What's new in 0.3.3
- The GNOME Shell extension (pin button on top and across workspaces, remembered window position) is now a ready-to-install zip attached to this release:
sticky-notes-extras@bwlab.it.shell-extension.zip. The README has the install steps. - The app itself is unchanged from 0.3.2.
Install
flatpak install --user it.bwlab.StickyNotes.flatpak
gnome-extensions install --force sticky-notes-extras@bwlab.it.shell-extension.zip # optionalLog out and in once after installing the extension, then run gnome-extensions enable sticky-notes-extras@bwlab.it.
If you already have an earlier version of the app, the first command updates it and keeps your notes.
Sticky Notes+ 0.3.2
What's new in 0.3.2
- Always on Top is now a pin button in the title bar of each note.
- A pinned note stays above other windows and follows you across workspaces. This part needs the optional GNOME Shell extension in
extension/(sticky-notes-extras@bwlab.it); without it the pin only remembers the choice.
Everything in 0.3.1 and 0.3.0 still applies.
Install
flatpak install --user it.bwlab.StickyNotes.flatpakIf you already have an earlier version, the same command updates it and keeps your notes.
Sticky Notes+ 0.3.1
What's new in 0.3.1
- On the first start with no notes, the app offers to import the notes of the original Sticky Notes. They are only read, never changed, and the folder is picked with the system file chooser, so the app needs no extra permission.
- A new menu entry, Import from Original Sticky Notes…, to do it later.
Everything in 0.3.0 still applies.
Install
flatpak install --user it.bwlab.StickyNotes.flatpakIf you already have 0.3.0, the same command updates it and keeps your notes.
Sticky Notes+ 0.3.0
First release of Sticky Notes+, a fork of Sticky Notes by Angelo Verlain and Christopher Davis (MIT).
What's new
- Fixed a bug that could delete every note when a single note file could not be read
- Images in notes: paste them from the clipboard or drop image files (included in export/import)
- Twenty note colors, with a color picker in the formatting bar
- Square-cornered, post-it style notes with a thinner header and a stronger shadow
- Checklists, bullets, note titles, font size, import and export of notes
- A tray icon listing the notes, with a New Note entry
- An option to show all notes at startup (Preferences)
- Always on Top and remembered window position, with the optional GNOME Shell extension (
extension/,sticky-notes-extras@bwlab.it) - "Open in Mail" for email addresses
Install
flatpak install --user it.bwlab.StickyNotes.flatpakThe app id is it.bwlab.StickyNotes, so it runs next to the original app and keeps its own notes (~/.var/app/it.bwlab.StickyNotes/data/it.bwlab.StickyNotes/notes). It needs the GNOME 50 runtime from Flathub.
