Beacon v1.0.3 — Initial Public Release

We're pleased to introduce the first public release of Beacon, a minimal Android emergency SOS application designed to help users contact their emergency contacts and share their location.

Features

• SOS activation with a countdown.
• Emergency SMS with location information.
• Sequential emergency contact calling.
• Configurable delayed SOS.
• Test Mode for familiarising yourself with the application without triggering real emergency actions.
• Customisable emergency contacts and settings.

What's included

• app-release.apk — Android installation package.
• Beacon-v1.0.3-Complete.zip — Application package and accompanying documentation.

Compatibility

Android 8.0 (Oreo) and later.

Important

Beacon is an assistance tool, not a replacement for official emergency services. Its functionality depends on device permissions, cellular connectivity, SIM availability and Android platform behaviour.

Please familiarise yourself with the application and test it responsibly before relying on it in an emergency.
