Enzyme release notes - v0.13.2
Short version
Fixes for four reported issues. Indexes built before the occurrence-weight
column open again after upgrading. A folder, tag, and link with the same name
no longer share a question budget or a leave-out. A local server can now get
hosted-size prompts, and a reply cut off at its output cap says so instead of
failing as unparseable JSON. enzyme spec migrate is retired; the setup skill
reads a legacy config.toml as evidence when it writes settings.
What shipped
Upgrading older indexes
- Indexes last opened by 0.9.1 or earlier, before the occurrence-weight
column existed, failed every read-write command on 0.13.1 with
no such column: weight, and read-only commands pointed atenzyme refresh,
which failed the same way. The covering index from 0.13.1 is now created
after the column migration, so these indexes upgrade in place and keep their
catalysts. (#16,0b3c603)
Selection
- Question budgets are keyed by entity name and type. A large folder no longer
drops to the 3-question floor because a small tag or link with the same name
was also selected. (#17,e6cd7d1) leave out tags|linksremoves only entities of that type. Leaving out the
[[writing]]link no longer removes thewritingfolder, and folder
expansion can no longer add a left-out link back. (#17,e6cd7d1)
Bring-your-own model
ENZYME_LOCAL_MODEL=0sends hosted-size prompts, job splitting, and the
8,192-token output cap to a model served on localhost (LM Studio, Ollama, a
llama.cpp server, or a local proxy in front of a remote provider). Localhost
addresses otherwise keep the compact local-model path. (#19,8e17451)- A reply that stops at the output cap before writing any answer, as reasoning
models can, now fails with a message naming the cap. It is not retried with
the same cap, and on the compact local path the message points to
ENZYME_LOCAL_MODEL=0. (#15,35c1259)
Settings
enzyme spec migrateis removed. It refused any vault whoseconfig.toml
key went through a symlink, and nothing else used it.config.tomlkeeps
working as before, and settings written for a vault take priority over its
TOML section. The setup skill now reads a legacyconfig.toml, including its
entity list, as evidence when it drafts settings. (#18,5c20c29)
Behavior changes to check
- A folder exclusion or leave-out no longer removes tags or links that share
its name;exclude ["templates"]keeps a#templatestag. Check
enzyme spec planif you relied on the old behavior. - Scripts that call
enzyme spec migratewill now fail with an unknown
subcommand.
