v1.0.11 changes how the project is built, released and documented. The Go package and command line tool behave as in v1.0.10.

Changed:

  • The Makefile follows the current Caltech Library pattern: make builds, make test runs offline, make generate regenerates version.go, CITATION.cff and the installers from codemeta.json, and make release then ./release.bash builds the release and creates the draft GitHub release.
  • make test no longer calls the live CrossRef API. Run make test-live MAILTO=you@example.edu for that; the live tests skip without a mailto address.
  • Documentation sources moved to docs/ and the site at https://software.library.caltech.edu/crossrefapi/ is built in CI. The committed HTML, css/, assets/ and the old site scripts are gone.
  • codemeta.json is CodeMeta 4.0, with a working license URL. The codemeta-*.tmpl files are removed.
  • 32-bit Raspberry Pi builds are dropped.
  • github.com/google/go-querystring is updated to v1.2.0.
  • .gitignore no longer ignores testdata/ or .github/.

Fixed:

  • The removed static.yml workflow published the whole repository as the documentation site.
