Installation

Stall supports Minecraft 26.3 only for now. It is installed on the server; players don't install anything.

Download Stall from Modrinth or the GitHub releases. There is one jar per platform:

Jar Platform Requirements
Stall-Paper-<version>.jar Spigot, Paper, Purpur or Folia 26.3 Java 25
Stall-Fabric-<version>.jar Fabric dedicated server, 26.3 Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer, Fabric API for 26.3

Spigot, Paper, Purpur and Folia

  1. Put Stall-Paper-<version>.jar in the server's plugins folder.
  2. Restart the server.

Use Stall-Paper-<version>.jar on all four server platforms. The filename is kept for existing downloads and automation. Folia 26.3 build 5 was used for server verification.

Fabric

  1. Install Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer on the server.
  2. Put Fabric API for 26.3 and Stall-Fabric-<version>.jar in the server's mods folder.
  3. Restart the server.

Stall is built and tested for dedicated servers.

Permissions plugin

LuckPerms is optional on both platforms, and permissions are written the same way on each, for example stall.limit.5. Without a permissions plugin or mod, everyone can trade and own 3 shops, and operators can manage every shop. See Commands and permissions.

Where shops are saved

Stall saves everything inside the world's own folder, so a world backup includes its shops:

<world>/stall/
shops/<shop id>.json one file per shop: its owner, location and offers
shops/_broken/ files that couldn't be loaded, moved aside instead of deleted
shops/_orphaned/ removed shop records kept for recovery
returns.json tokens waiting for /stall reclaim

Spigot, Paper and Fabric read and write the same files. See Administration for moving a world between them.
