Improvements:

  • Reduced the minSdk version for Android. Please refer to the updated SDK installation instructions.
  • Improved error control. Now any error that occurs in the SDK is logged in Chat2Desk.errors.
  • Enhanced automatic reconnection mechanism in case of connection loss.
  • Added autoReconnect, attemptsToReconnect, and reconnectTimeout settings.
  • Added Chat2Desk.clientPhone property to obtain the ID of the current connection session.
  • Expanded Chat2Desk.start method to allow passing clientPhone for connecting to a specific dialogue.
  • Added Chat2Desk.fetchNewMessage method to retrieve only missed messages from the server.

Bug fixes:

  • iOS: Fixed an issue where SDK could cause critical application errors upon connection loss.
  • iOS: Fixed an issue where calling Chat2Desk.flushAll SDK method would completely clear NSUserDefaults. Now, SDK saves its settings in a separate suite.
  • Android: Fixed an issue where app could cause critical okhttp3.internal.ws.WebSocketProtocol.validateCloseCode error upon connection loss.
  • Fixed an issue where incoming messages could be duplicated in some cases.
