• 外部 Agent（Codex、Claude Code 等）每个只需连接一次，在书架或书里的设置中都能连，打开哪本书它就在哪本书里工作。重新连接会撤销旧版本按书建立的连接，并从客户端配置里删掉那些条目。
• 修复登录账号后一键连接外部 Agent 总是失败、提示路径太长的问题。
• Agent 新建要素后，没打开的章节、构想和其他要素里出现的名字也会链接到它。打开章节时会补上还没链接的名字，Agent 写进正文的名字直接带链接。
• Markdown 文件夹不再有默认位置，选好文件夹之前不写任何文件。升级后会再问一次放在哪里；之前已经写在默认位置的设备保持原样。
• 开着 Drifting 时每 3 小时检查一次更新。发现新版本后铃铛上会留一个记号，直到你打开通知中心；在 设置 › 更新 里点一次“安装并重启”即可。书架上也有铃铛了。
• 书架的设置里也能改外观、编辑器、语言、模型与 API、快捷键、外部 Agent 访问和主动建议。设置里不再把 Agent 标为实验性。
• 设置 › 编辑器 新增“打字时自动沉浸”：开始写正文就收起侧栏与工具，按 Esc 或点正文以外的地方回来。默认关闭。
• 用 Anthropic API Key 时，Agent 也可以联网搜索。
• 导出成稿时 H1、H2、H3 一律导出，不再有按层级取舍的开关。
• 导入 Markdown 或 Word 文件时，开头的标题只作为标题，不再在正文里重复一遍；没有标题的文件以文件名命名。
• 新建的书库里，除了《傲慢与偏见》，还有一本写到一半的《阿Q正传》示例。
• 修复 Agent 引用标题带空格的章节时，链接显示成一串原始文字的问题。
• 要素的一句话摘要统一叫“概述”。

• Each external Agent (Codex, Claude Code and others) connects once, from the bookshelf's settings or a book's, and works in whichever book is open. Reconnecting revokes the per-book connections an earlier version made and removes their entries from the client's configuration.
• One-click connections for external Agents no longer fail with a path-too-long error after you sign in.
• When the Agent creates an element, its name links in chapters, ideas and other elements you don't have open, too. Opening a chapter links names it hasn't linked yet, and names the Agent writes into the prose arrive linked.
• The Markdown folder has no default location: nothing is written until you choose a folder. After updating you are asked once more where it goes; a device already writing to the default location keeps it.
• While Drifting is open it checks for updates every 3 hours. A found update leaves a mark on the bell until you open the notification center, and one click on "Install and restart" in Settings › Updates does the rest. The bookshelf has the bell too.
• The bookshelf's settings also offer appearance, editor, language, models and API, shortcuts, external agent access and proactive suggestions. The settings no longer call the Agent experimental.
• Settings › Editor adds "Immersive writing as you type": writing in the paper tucks away the sidebars and tools, and Esc or a click outside the text brings them back. It is off by default.
• The Agent can search the web on an Anthropic API key, too.
• Manuscript export always includes H1, H2 and H3; the switches for leaving a level out are gone.
• When you import a Markdown or Word file, its opening heading becomes the title and no longer repeats in the text; a file without one is named after the file.
• A new library gets a second sample beside Pride and Prejudice: 阿Q正传 (The True Story of Ah Q), in Chinese and half written.
• A passage the Agent cites from a chapter whose title has a space links properly instead of showing as raw text.
• An element's one-sentence summary is called a summary everywhere, not a role.

• Windows 预览版：提供 Windows 10、11 的 x64 与 ARM64 安装包。窗口按钮收在左上角的玻璃药丸里；在书架上关掉窗口，Drifting 会留在通知区域；外部 Agent 和 MCP 服务与 Mac 上一样可用。安装包暂未做代码签名，第一次运行时 Windows 可能提示“Windows 已保护你的电脑”（点“更多信息”→“仍要运行”）。
• 项目主页的主动建议都变成卡片，点了才做，点 × 忽略：Agent 留下的问题和提议、整理项目记忆的提议，以及把你上次写的新正文整理进要素的“整理”卡。回到 App 时不再自动整理。这些统一由主页设定里的“主动建议”开关控制。
• 修复主页建议有时生成失败、提示 “The check-in result is invalid” 的问题。
• 用 OpenAI API Key 或 ChatGPT 订阅时，Agent 可以联网搜索。
• OpenAI、Anthropic、DeepSeek 的模型菜单会列出你的 Key 能用的模型，新模型不用等更新就能选，列表自动刷新。没有 Key 或没登录 ChatGPT 时，那一家的模型会置灰。DeepSeek 模型按 DeepSeek 公布的上下文长度和输出上限使用。
• 中文正文里也能用 粗体、斜体 和 删除线。
• Agent 新建要素时，正文里已经出现的名字会链接到它。被拆成两个链接的名字会合回一个；打开章节时，只链接了一部分的名字会被补全。
• 正文里链接的卡片能放下更长的内容。
• Agent 回答时，对话会一直跟到最新内容，除非你往上滚；回答里的中文粗体也能正确显示。
• Markdown 文件夹里的素材改放在“素材/”下，你自己放进原来“资料/”里的文件不会动。中文界面里素材的文件夹改叫“素材夹”。
• 清空含有章节的废纸篓会真正删掉它们，删除失败时会说明原因。删除章节都在废纸篓里的故事线、恢复所在分组已不存在的构想，不再失败。
• 登录或退出后，重新打开的窗口会出现在最前面。

• Windows preview: installers for Windows 10 and 11 on x64 and ARM64. The window buttons sit in a glass pill at the top left, closing the window on the bookshelf keeps Drifting in the notification area, and external Agents and MCP servers work as they do on the Mac. The installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" the first time (More info → Run anyway).
• Project Home's proactive suggestions are all cards that act only when you open them, and × skips them: the Agent's questions and offers, an offer to tidy the project's memory, and an Organize card that files what you last wrote into your elements. Drifting no longer organizes on its own when you come back to it. One Proactive suggestions switch in Home's settings covers them all.
• Home's suggestions no longer fail now and then with "The check-in result is invalid".
• The Agent can search the web when it runs on an OpenAI API key or a ChatGPT subscription.
• The model menus for OpenAI, Anthropic and DeepSeek keys list the models your key can use, so new models show up without waiting for an update, and the lists refresh on their own. Without a key, or without a ChatGPT sign-in, that provider's models are greyed out. DeepSeek models use the context length and output limit DeepSeek publishes.
• Bold, italic and strikethrough work inside Chinese prose.
• When the Agent creates an element, names already in your prose link to it. A name split across two links becomes one link again, and opening a chapter mends names left partly linked.
• A link's card in the prose holds long content.
• The Agent's answer keeps following as it writes unless you scroll up, and bold Chinese in its answers displays correctly.
• In the Markdown folder, materials now live under 素材/; files you put in the old 资料/ folder stay where they are. In Chinese, material folders are now called 素材夹.
• Emptying a Trash that holds chapters deletes them, and a delete that fails says why. Deleting a storyline whose chapters are in the Trash, and restoring an idea whose group is gone, no longer fail.
• After you sign in or out, the reopened window comes to the front.

• Immersive writing: the stick of incense at the end of the paper's toolbar (or ⌘⇧↩) leaves only the paper. The paragraph you are writing stays in full ink, the rest fades, and Esc brings everything back as it was.
• Seven more interface languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, 日本語, 한국어, Português (Brasil) and 繁體中文. Pick one on first launch or in the account menu.
• Sign in with Google, and sign in from the account menu inside a book.
• The bookshelf has a left column with Import and Recently Deleted, a year of your writing days, and each book's last 30 days. Writing days follow your account.
• A new first launch, a short tour the first time you open a book, and empty views that say how to start.
• The element overview opens in a Relations layout. TODO & Materials shows comments beside the TODOs.
• Comments: the sticky-note rail is gone. The paper's comment button shows or hides the comment marks, new comments are written beside the selection, and pointing at a comment's mark lights its card.
• Larger interface text sizes, and every row of the account menu is one height.
• Images synced from another device now show their previews.

If you use Drifting on more than one Mac, update all of them: an older version pauses syncing a book once a newer one has written to it, and resumes after it is updated.

• While a library restores its books from the cloud, the shelf and Account settings show the progress, so a new account library no longer looks empty until everything arrives.
• Pressing Connect while a restore is running no longer starts it a second time.
• Account settings now says when a library is not syncing yet, and that connecting uploads only books made in this library.
• The Dock icon is clearer: the rings around the iceberg are gone and the iceberg is denser.

• Each account now has its own library on this Mac. Signing in opens that account's books, and signing out returns to the books you keep without an account; books no longer move between accounts on their own. Drifting restarts when it switches. Your current books stay where they are: if this Mac syncs with an account, they become that account's library.
• Export a book as a .driftingbook file and import it into another library as a new book.
• Your settings follow your account across devices.
• Long Agent writing keeps going when a view stops with an error, no longer says it cannot reach its tools at a checkpoint, and is not paused while it is still saving chapters. Stop always clears a task that has already ended.
• The Elements overview and TODO & Materials show correctly again.
• When the page is narrow, the outline folds into dots; hover to read it.
• A book deleted on another device no longer leaves sync showing "Error".
• The app icon follows the light, dark, clear and tinted appearances.
