  • Home-screen widget: keep your words on your home screen; tap it to rewrite them anytime
  • A reminder that speaks: set an alarm and Backdrop reads your words aloud at the time you choose
  • Always today's date: date stickers on your wallpaper and widget refresh themselves every day
  • A friendlier first run: a guided welcome, one-line tips for each step, and hands-on demos of dragging, resizing and rotating
  • Fresher presets and a 57-color picker for mixing your own gradients
  • Analytics: anonymous usage stats are always on; sharing the words you write is on by default and can be turned off in About ("Help Backdrop grow"). See the privacy policy.
