Coexist v1.1.0
Coexist 1.1.0
Coexist 1.1.0 moves the application runtime to Coaction 4.0.0. All 11 public @coexist/* packages are released together at 1.1.0.
Highlights
- Coaction 4 engine. Core keeps
engine.transporton Coaction's shared store entry and handles the current-state patch base required by Coaction 4. Worker mirrors recover correctly when a filtered state section receives a root replacement patch. - Stable effect behavior. Module effects still run after every app commit by default, as in Coexist 1.0. Set
engine: { effectInvalidation: "path" }to opt into Coaction 4 state-path tracking. - Smaller local entry.
@coexist/core/localexposes the samecreateApp({ providers })composition API for apps that keep state in one JavaScript realm. The consumer bundle check measures about 33.6 KB gzip for the local entry versus 45.7 KB for the default entry and confirms that shared transport code is absent from the local bundle. Actual application sizes depend on imports and bundler settings. - A complete business example. The inventory workbench runs one
InventoryBoardmodule in React and Vue, injects an asynchronous catalog service, sends planning to a dedicated Worker, persists stock overrides in IndexedDB, and tests provider replacement and recovery. - Clearer public boundary.
App.storenow has Coexist-owned method, update, and patch types. The five supported store methods no longer inherit their public signatures from Coaction declarations.
Upgrade
Update the Coexist packages in your application together to 1.1.0. The public package set is @coexist/angular, @coexist/core, @coexist/create, @coexist/devtools, @coexist/react, @coexist/router, @coexist/solid, @coexist/storage, @coexist/svelte, @coexist/testing, and @coexist/vue.
Existing @coexist/core imports keep the shared-store behavior. For a local store, import createApp and module helpers from @coexist/core/local; that entry does not accept engine.transport. Apps that call the low-level store.apply(state, patches) should omit state or pass the current store.getPureState() result. Worker protocol endpoints should use the same core version; the wire protocol remains beta.
Coexist remains ESM-only and requires Node.js 22.12.0 or newer. The release is checked on Node 22 and 24, including browser integrations, packed-package installs, and Worker transports.
