Repository navigation
v0.1.85
a repository the GitHub App no longer covers is left out of ccx repos and answers 404 to commands naming it, instead of failing every ccx repos with a 503; the 503s that remain name the repository and the reason
Nothing is required. One change affects scripts that read ccx repos:
a repository the GitHub App no longer covers no longer fails the listing
with a 503; the page omits it, and a command naming it answers 404
(below).
Upgrade the CLI with the server, as always.
A repository the App no longer covers is denied, not an outage
- What changed.
ccx reposlists the rest. A repository removed from the GitHub
App's installation, or deleted, used to make everyccx reposfail with
HTTP 503 … (no installation) …, for every user, until an operator
removed it from the config repo. It is now a definite denial:ccx repos
leaves it out, a command naming it answers404, and the audit stream
records the denial asrepo_gone(the walk's terminal event counts it
underdenied_by_reason). A public repository outside the installation
still serves.- The 503 that remains names its cause.
authorization check failed (<reason>): <instance>: <owner>/<name> …— the reason is the audit
vocabulary entry (repo_unverified,mapping_config_error, …) and the
repository is named. Over MCP the error carriesreasonin its fields,
and its text says a retry does not help unless the reason is a provider
throttle or outage.
- What to do. Nothing. For a repository that is now denied: drop it from
the config repo, or add it back to the App's installation. The query
server logs a warning naming it either way. - Scripts. A script that treated a 503 from
ccx reposas "retry" sees
a200page without that repository instead; one that named the
repository sees404instead of503. - Verify.
ccx repossucceeds with such a repository in the index; the
query server log holds… is not covered by the App's installation … denied as repo_gone.
