SiegeFX 0.0.2 — Alpha
What's New
- Save & Load — Save Game window, in-game Load Game window, and the full main-menu Load Game screen rebuilt from the original interface art, with save preview thumbnails, elapsed play time, and animated menu transitions.
- Continue — the main menu's CONTINUE button resumes your most recent save.
- Adventurer's Handbook — in-game tips window with auto-popup cadence.
- Armor matters — worn armor now mitigates incoming damage.
- Single-file downloads — each app is now one self-contained exe (no loose DLLs).
- SiegeSmith 0.0.3 included — the World Builder grows into a full level editor: prefabs, terrain paint, scatter brush, patrol routes, logic-graph views, custom templates/textures/audio import, and a one-click sync-and-play loop with the game.
What's Fixed
- Fireball and plume spells: the flame now rides the projectile as a single cohesive ball; lightning renders as thin, taut bolts.
- Menu button labels fold with their wood planks during main-menu transitions instead of popping into place.
- Enemies no longer strand on terrain islands or spawn in water; roaming behaves.
- Elevator levers pull from their authored use points, and riders stuck off-floor are rescued.
- Character creator preview no longer renders heroes crushed to black.
- Dark-room fade-ins no longer re-darken rooms already revealed.
Requirements & running
Same as v0.0.1: Windows x64, no .NET install needed, and your own Dungeon Siege installation (SiegeFX ships zero game assets). Unzip and run SiegeFX.exe — note the exe name changed from SiegeFX.Runtime.exe. Non-standard install paths: set SIEGEFX_DS1 to your Dungeon Siege folder.
Prerelease — versions below 1.0 are marked as such.
