What's New

Public API for programmatic use (#15)

  • Added search.api and paper.api modules that re-export all core functions
  • Enables external packages (e.g. elastic-inference) to from search.api import search_papers, get_citations without CLI dependencies

Fix multi-line title extraction (#14, #16)

  • Papers with titles spanning multiple lines (e.g. DR Tulu, Tülu 3) now capture the full title instead of just the first line
  • Added _TITLE_FONT_TOLERANCE_PT constant for font-size grouping tolerance

CI test workflow (#17)

  • Added GitHub Actions workflow that runs pytest on push/PR when Python files change
  • Tests on Python 3.10 and 3.12

Tests

  • 6 new unit tests for _extract_metadata (multi-line title edge cases)
  • 6 new integration tests using the DR-Tülu paper (2511.19399)
