What's new
- Claude remote: follow and drive
claudesessions in Okena panes from the web and mobile clients. Read the conversation, send prompts and slash commands, interrupt a turn, and answer permission prompts, questions and plan approvals. Turn it on in Settings → Terminal → Claude Remote (macOS and Linux). It applies to panes created after that, and needs the nativeclaudebinary (not the npm package). - AI account proxy: optionally route Claude Code in your terminals through a pool of Claude subscription accounts. When an account hits its rate limit, the next one takes the request. Per-project policies choose which accounts a project may use. Set it up in Settings → AI Proxy; the status bar shows usage per account. The proxy runs as its own process, so sessions keep working across daemon restarts.
- Usage served by the daemon: Claude and Codex usage is fetched once by the daemon and shared with every client.
okena usageprints it. - Grok usage meter in the status bar. Enable the Grok extension to use it.
- Status board: give projects and worktrees a status (To do, In progress, Review, Done; columns are editable) and show a project's worktrees in status lanes (
Cmd+Shift+K). Turn it on in Settings → General → Status Board. - What's New: release notes inside Okena. Okena offers them once after each update; open them any time from View → What's New or the About dialog.
- Worktrees created outside Okena: with Settings → Worktree → Track worktrees created outside Okena on, worktrees made by
git worktree add, Claude Code or other tools appear in the sidebar within about 10 seconds, without starting terminals. A worktree you untrack stays hidden, and ignore globs skip paths. - LOCAL / REMOTE sidebar layout: optional separate sections for local projects and for each remote host, and host CPU/MEM in the sidebar as text or gauges. The CPU/MEM readout in the status bar can now be hidden.
- Worktree attention bell: optionally show the bell on a worktree row while any of its terminals has an unseen bell or notification.
- Merge queue on the PR badge: a queued PR shows its position; the tooltip adds state and ETA.
- Full text for truncated names: long tab titles end in "…", and truncated tab titles, branch chips, sidebar names and service names show the full text in a tooltip.
Changed
- Show Name on Inactive Terminals is now one global setting in Settings → Terminal. The per-terminal context menu item is removed and per-terminal choices are not carried over, so turn the setting on once if you used it.
Fixes
- Git status no longer goes stale: the daemon's Git poller could stop when no client was connected, after which Git status, PR and CI info never refreshed.
- Renaming a terminal or recolouring a worktree updates the sidebar and the terminal area at once, also when the change comes from another client.
- The updater retries validating a freshly installed binary on "Text file busy" instead of rolling back a good update.
- Fixture files count as tests in the review file breakdown.
Mobile and web
- Mobile: native terminal renderer on iOS and Android; a single-terminal view with session restore and a new key toolbar; connections open on a dashboard; projects ordered by activity; usage rings; easier text selection with a native Select text mode; the compose key in the main key row, with autocorrect.
- Mobile connections: bounded connect attempts, detection of dead connections, reconnect when the app returns to the foreground, and Android sessions that stay active. Inertial scrolling on iOS.
- Web: a Claude chat panel for agent panes.
