ViewGraph 0.1.0-alpha.4
ViewGraph 0.1.0-alpha.4
Visualize the structure of your SwiftUI app.
ViewGraph analyzes SwiftUI projects and helps you understand how screens,
components, navigation, previews, and code changes relate to each other. It runs
locally on your Mac.
- Version: 0.1.0-alpha.4
- Build: 4
- Bundle ID:
com.penguinworks.ViewGraph - Requires: macOS 15.0 or later
- Preview workflows: Xcode 16 or later
- Architectures: Apple silicon and Intel (universal)
- Distribution: signed and notarized DMG
What's new in 0.1.0-alpha.4
- Browse, select, and export every preview variation for screens, components,
and widgets. - Widget previews use the correct WidgetKit family and rendering mode, with a
configurable background and dedicated widget image export. - A unified Export All Previews flow lets you choose exactly which images to
include before exporting. - Previews render for nested Xcode projects in multi-project folders, including
SwiftUI template projects. - More reliable preview generation: function-based preview helpers keep their
required inputs, usage previews resolve environment values proven from source,
and the Swift 6 batch preview host no longer relaunches per preview. - Preview variant switching, cache reuse, and cancellation are fixed in the
inspector, and working-tree Swift changes reload automatically.
What you can explore
Screens & Navigation
Open a SwiftUI project and explore its view graph on an interactive canvas.
Screens and their navigation connections are laid out so you can follow how one
screen leads to another.
Components
See how views are composed from smaller components. ViewGraph groups the graph
into levels so you can trace which components make up a screen and where a
component is reused.
SwiftUI Previews
ViewGraph captures Xcode and iOS Simulator previews and caches them per
revision, so previews stay attached to the graph as your project changes.
Commit Impact
Compare the graph across Git commits and see which parts of the view graph a
revision affects, without reading the whole diff.
Alpha status
This is an early public alpha.
Current focus:
- SwiftUI projects
- iOS / iPhone-first support
- screen/component/navigation analysis
- preview rendering
- commit-impact exploration
ViewGraph 0.1.0 is iPhone-first: only proven iPhone application targets are
listed, and iPad-specific graph presentation and preview rendering are deferred.
Expect unsupported project structures and preview edge cases. Some projects may
not analyze cleanly, and some previews may fail depending on the project's
toolchain and configuration.
Install

Feedback
Please report bugs through GitHub Issues:
https://github.com/coper101/ViewGraph-Releases/issues/new
Useful information to include:
- ViewGraph version
- macOS version
- Xcode version
- Screenshot
- Relevant diagnostics
- Reproduction steps
- A small sample project, if possible
Privacy and security
- The production app has no telemetry and no direct application-managed
networking. - Xcode and Swift Package Manager may download dependencies during preview
workflows. - Previewed project code may perform network requests or other side effects.
- ViewGraph copies most non-hidden project content into its Application
Support mirror. - Persisted snapshots can contain project paths, file names, diagnostics,
preview bodies, and invocation expressions.
ViewGraph does not claim that it never sends data to the network or never copies
source locally. Review these points before opening sensitive projects.
Known limitations
- Previews require a working Xcode installation. Without Xcode, analysis,
canvas, bookmarks, and Git history still work, but previews report that the
toolchain is unavailable. - iPad-specific graph presentation and preview rendering are deferred. Only
proven iPhone application targets are listed. - This is an alpha; data formats and UI may change between builds.
- Intel runtime behavior is unverified unless explicitly recorded below.

Known limitations
- Preview rendering requires a working Xcode installation and an available iOS Simulator.
Without Xcode, analysis, canvas, bookmarks, and Git history still work, but
preview rendering is unavailable. - Preview workflows currently target iPhone. iPad-specific preview behavior
is not supported in this alpha. - Some project structures and preview configurations may not yet be supported.
- This is an alpha; UI and stored data formats may change between builds.
- Intel runtime behavior is currently unverified on physical Intel hardware.
