⚠️ WARNING: This release has known bug preventing CoreMedia Studio to be loaded in case the settings /Settings/Options/Settings/KIO does not exist. Please use version v1.2.1 or higher instead, which fixes this issue.

  • KIO Group-Based Access Control: Implemented group-based permission system for KIO access control. People with the right permissions can configure specific user groups that are allowed to use KIO functionality through the allowed-group and allowed-groups properties in the global KIO settings defined in:

    Configuration Path: /Settings/Options/Settings/KIO

    The properties can be configured within the kio struct as:

    • Single group: allowed-group as a string property type
    • Multiple groups: allowed-groups as a string list property type

    Behavior:

    • When no groups are configured, all users maintain access
    • When groups are specified, only users who are members of at least one configured group can access KIO features
    • When a user is not allowed to use KIO, the plugin will not be instantiated in CoreMedia Studio
    • When a configured group name does not exist or is not available in UserRepository, KIO will not be loaded for any user
