@crapthings crapthings released this 10 Oct 07:58

TypeScript SDK 0.1.0-beta.2 fixes npm README documentation links and package homepages. Public API signatures and runtime behavior are unchanged from beta.1; the Go database remains alpha.

All three packages are published under the npm beta tag through GitHub Actions OIDC trusted publishing, with provenance and verified archive integrity.

npm install @meldbase/client@0.1.0-beta.2
npm install @meldbase/react@0.1.0-beta.2
npm install @meldbase/worker@0.1.0-beta.2

The standalone React starter demonstrates local JWT authentication, CRUD, live queries, workspace isolation, and reconnection against the actual Go service. CI verifies public npm installation, strict TypeScript consumers, Chrome integration, and Node 20/22/24 compatibility.

Attached archives and the source/integrity receipt are the verified publication artifacts.

TypeScript SDK 0.1.0-beta.1

Pre-release

@crapthings crapthings released this 10 Oct 07:08

The first TypeScript SDK beta establishes a reviewed public API baseline for the remote client, local collections, shared types, React adapter, and trusted worker SDK. CI rejects unreviewed signature and runtime/type export changes. @meldbase/client/internal remains experimental and outside that baseline.

All three packages use version 0.1.0-beta.1 and the npm beta tag. The Go database remains alpha; this SDK release is not a 1.0 stability promise.

npm install @meldbase/client@beta
npm install @meldbase/react@beta react
npm install @meldbase/worker@beta

Validation: SDK quality and coverage, API baseline checks, strict TypeScript and runtime consumers of freshly packed archives, Node 20/22/24 compatibility, real-browser integration, and documentation build/link checks passed. The GitHub Actions publication attaches npm provenance; the included receipt binds archive SHA-512 integrity to source commit 08ea03701434462cbd2d1c9eb1edf2b871557865.

Breaking change

The canonical Go import path is now github.com/crapthings/meldbase. The pre-Beta github.com/crapthings/meldbase/core path has been removed; migrate callers to the module-root package.

Highlights

  • Establishes the root Go API as the stable embedded database entry point.
  • Moves the private database implementation to internal/database, separate from physical internal/storage.
  • Adds generated API, formatting, and boundary checks to CI.
  • Updates all SDK package versions to 0.1.0-alpha.12.

What's Changed

  • feat: add durable V2 runtime and fenced replication by @crapthings in #1

@crapthings crapthings released this 17 Jul 06:47

Meldbase v0.1.0-alpha.2

This release is an early developer preview of Meldbase: an embedded realtime
NoSQL database for Go with isomorphic TypeScript query APIs. It establishes the
storage, protocol and SDK foundations needed for experiments and ecosystem
feedback. It is not a production-readiness declaration.

Highlights

  • Adds the revision-3 V2 copy-on-write storage engine with persistent indexes,
commit-log retention, snapshots, reclamation, compaction and bounded caches.
  • Adds revision-pinned offline inspection, semantic verification, physical
backup, recovery reports and cross-release storage fixtures.
  • Adds optimistic multi-collection transactions, canonical compare-and-swap
conflict detection, unique indexes and resumable online index builds.
  • Adds a versioned realtime WebSocket protocol with bounded flow control,
reconnect/resume behavior, publication visibility boundaries and exact HTTP
    query/RPC envelopes.
  • Adds @meldbase/client, @meldbase/react and @meldbase/server alpha SDKs,
including isomorphic queries, local reactive collections, React hooks,
server publications, policy enforcement and worker RPC.
  • Adds idempotent RPC with stable outcomes, atomic business mutations and
    bounded replay state.
  • Adds fixed-cardinality observability: allocation-free core statistics,
derived health, authenticated admin JSON/SSE, an embedded developer panel,
Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and explicitly bounded diagnostics/profiling.
  • Adds target-volume durability probes, race-enabled release soaks and
    revision/device/filesystem-bound qualification receipts.

Compatibility and qualification

  • Storage compatibility is limited to the checked-in revision-3 layouts and
    fixtures covered by this release.
  • A successful Level-3 packet proves the normal capability probe and concurrent
release soak only for its exact revision, runtime and filesystem identity.
  • Power-loss, ENOSPC and hardware/filesystem production claims require a
separate secured destructive record and Level-4 qualification.
  • The APIs and on-wire protocol remain prerelease and may evolve before 1.0.

Try it

Use the Go demo and the checked-in realtime examples for local evaluation:

go run ./cmd/meld demo
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm build:example

Please report reproducible storage, protocol, SDK or documentation issues with
the exact Meldbase revision, Go/Node versions and target filesystem details.
