Meldbase v0.1.0-alpha.2

This release is an early developer preview of Meldbase: an embedded realtime
NoSQL database for Go with isomorphic TypeScript query APIs. It establishes the
storage, protocol and SDK foundations needed for experiments and ecosystem
feedback. It is not a production-readiness declaration.

Highlights

  • Adds the revision-3 V2 copy-on-write storage engine with persistent indexes,
commit-log retention, snapshots, reclamation, compaction and bounded caches.
  • Adds revision-pinned offline inspection, semantic verification, physical
backup, recovery reports and cross-release storage fixtures.
  • Adds optimistic multi-collection transactions, canonical compare-and-swap
conflict detection, unique indexes and resumable online index builds.
  • Adds a versioned realtime WebSocket protocol with bounded flow control,
reconnect/resume behavior, publication visibility boundaries and exact HTTP
    query/RPC envelopes.
  • Adds @meldbase/client, @meldbase/react and @meldbase/server alpha SDKs,
including isomorphic queries, local reactive collections, React hooks,
server publications, policy enforcement and worker RPC.
  • Adds idempotent RPC with stable outcomes, atomic business mutations and
    bounded replay state.
  • Adds fixed-cardinality observability: allocation-free core statistics,
derived health, authenticated admin JSON/SSE, an embedded developer panel,
Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and explicitly bounded diagnostics/profiling.
  • Adds target-volume durability probes, race-enabled release soaks and
    revision/device/filesystem-bound qualification receipts.

Compatibility and qualification

  • Storage compatibility is limited to the checked-in revision-3 layouts and
    fixtures covered by this release.
  • A successful Level-3 packet proves the normal capability probe and concurrent
release soak only for its exact revision, runtime and filesystem identity.
  • Power-loss, ENOSPC and hardware/filesystem production claims require a
separate secured destructive record and Level-4 qualification.
  • The APIs and on-wire protocol remain prerelease and may evolve before 1.0.

Try it

Use the Go demo and the checked-in realtime examples for local evaluation:

go run ./cmd/meld demo
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm build:example

Please report reproducible storage, protocol, SDK or documentation issues with
the exact Meldbase revision, Go/Node versions and target filesystem details.
