Network of People 🕸️

A new Network tab gives you a directory of everyone across your captures, meetings, and notes.

Highlights

  • Network of People view — browse everyone you work with in one filterable list, with automatic name reconciliation across sources.
  • GitHub avatars & location shown directly in Network list rows.
  • Nickname / alias matching — editable aliases UI plus an AI reconcile fallback, so the same person isn't split into duplicates.
  • PersonDetail upgrades:
    • New Action Items section.
    • Meeting History replaced with a filterable Context list.
    • Source labels stay in sync (contexts cache refresh fix).
  • "Meetings" count renamed to "captures" on the Network list for clarity.

Full changelog: v0.6.1...v0.7.0

0.6.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 May 14:22

What's changed

  • Added an opt-in local capture webhook for programmatic content ingestion from localhost, including JSON/text payload support, VTT/SRT cleanup, Settings controls, and startup/shutdown lifecycle handling.
  • Improved meeting capture attendee handling by separating actual attendees from people merely mentioned, with deterministic speaker extraction for transcripts.
  • Improved GitHub activity rate-limit handling with bounded auto-retry, cached-item preservation, and per-member retry controls.

Validation

  • Release workflow built and uploaded macOS arm64/x64 DMG and ZIP artifacts.

@github-actions github-actions released this 21 Apr 13:15

What's new since v0.5.3

New features

  • Per-report repo sync: push reviews, check-ins, and 1:1 notes to each direct's private <owner>/1-1-<github-username> repo on demand, with a streaming progress UI.
  • Master/detail (inbox-style) layout on the report page and the Today page: list on the left, full content on the right. No more endless inline expand.
  • Refine with AI on every markdown viewer: ✨ button → instruction → before/after diff → Accept/Reject. Works on contexts, check-ins, reviews, preps, profiles, impact log, weekly entries, and report About / Job Expectations.
  • Open in external app dropdown on every markdown viewer: open in VS Code (or Cursor / VSCodium), Obsidian, or Reveal in Finder. Includes "Open full view" when applicable.
  • Image paste in AI chat: paste screenshots straight into the AI chat input; thumbnails appear above the textarea and the image is sent with your message.
  • VTT/SRT transcript cleanup at capture: drop a .vtt or .srt from your meeting tool and it's parsed (speaker tags, timestamps stripped) into clean **Speaker:** text blocks before the AI sees it.
  • Auto-track meeting attendees when capturing a 1:1 — the speaker list (you + the person mentioned) is written into frontmatter automatically.
  • Drop files directly onto the FAB to start a capture; the panel opens and processes them.
  • "View" button on processed captures jumps straight to the full ContextDetail page.
  • Auto-reload on window focus: edits made externally (e.g. in VS Code) show up in the app when you switch back, no manual refresh.
  • Today page "Team Activity" tile with live "Updated X ago" timestamp.
  • Default AI model is now Claude Opus 4.7.

Performance

  • The capture submit no longer freezes the app for 10+ seconds — gathering open action items per report now uses a lightweight per-meeting parse and yields between reports so the main process stays responsive.
  • Clicking the + button next to a meeting speaker no longer navigates to the new person's profile (which loaded every context that mentioned them). The profile is created in place so you stay on the meeting.
  • Detail pane in the master/detail layout flows naturally with the page (no inner scroller).

AI / context plumbing

  • AI token-limit fix: centralized prompt truncation, plus per-source caps (summaries 4 KB, last 10 feedback entries for check-ins / 15 for reviews, last 5–8 context notes capped at 2 KB each, fewer cross-meeting mentions). Way fewer "context too large" errors.
  • GitHub rate-limit tracking: when GitHub returns 403/429 we back off instead of spamming retries.

Workflow polish

  • Check-ins: monthly check-ins now auto-save when generated, target the correct reporting month, are fully editable inline (incl. delete), and the misleading "manager's records only" warning has been removed (check-ins are meant to be shared).
  • Performance reviews: full inline CRUD on the report page (add, view, edit, delete); review bodies are loaded so AI review generation actually has the prior text as context.
  • Cancel-edit fix: clicking Edit then Cancel on a context/prep no longer renders duplicate content.

Other

  • Team dashboard page with date-filtered charts and roster (#17).
  • Auto-generate 1:1 prep on meeting day (#30).
  • Settings PAT field validates the token on save (#32).
  • Three user-reported bugs squashed: stale prep, double delete, inline prep clear (#29).
  • MIT license added.

Updating

The app will detect this update within ~4 hours (or on next launch) and prompt you to restart.
