Description:

This release represents spirnts 7, 8 & 9 for the Kiewit Garage Studio Manager Project. This release contains the Tool Checkout, Tour and Training, as well as the Bulk Permissions features. Though not included in this release, significant progress on the SSO feature.

Tool Checkout

  • Tool View Page #163
    • Added a new page to view checkable tools from the Admin point of view
  • Tool Checkout Page #160
    • Added a new page to view checkable tools from Warehouse point of view
  • Track Tool Barcode #159
    • Configured the site database to track the barcodes of tools
  • Correlate User Profile #162
    • Configured the site database to correlate users with tools they have checked out
  • Tool Checkout Functionality #273
    • Created the feature to allow users to check in and out tools
  • Tool Checkout Table #275
    • Created table in database to store checkable tools
  • Modify Tool Creation to Allow Checkout Tool Creation #252
    • Modified the process by which tools are created on the site to allow for Checkable to also be created

Tour and Training

  • Tour/Training Completion page #236
    • Modified the Checkout page to display information relevant to Tours and Training, and added the other necessary relevant UI elements
  • Fetch User & User's events #237
    • Developed the backend logic to fetch user events, as well as the logic necessary to mark those events as attended

Bulk Permissions

  • Add an option to perform bulk permissions #167
    • Modified the admin Tools page to give the option to perform bulk permissions
  • Allow for Bulk Permissions #168
    • Created backend logic to perform bulk permissions
  • Create Front-End Page for Bulk Permissions Update #274
    • Created a page from which bulk permissions can be performed

Significance of Completed Work:
With the addition of this release, the Tour and Training feature as well as the Tool Checkout feature enhance the Checkout system delivered last release, giving technicians the ability to perform more tasks with the website system. The Bulk Permissions feature increases the usability of the website tool system, making creating new permissions easier for site admins.
