Release Notes
Upgrading to v0.46.0
- Economy lines stop going to the mod log. Pick a public channel as the
Economy log on the dashboard (Settings, Economy) to get them back, and
point the mod log at a moderators-only channel. Nothing is posted to an
economy log until you set one.
Added
- An economy log. A new per-server setting, Economy log, beside the
announcement channel on the dashboard. It is public by design: it carries
who used what on whom, crowdfunds, pranks ended early and unmaskings, as
plain lines that never ping, and it never names an unsigned buyer, crowdfund
starter or backer. A crowdfund names each person only if their own pledge was
signed; the rest are counted. Moderators' actions appear as "a moderator".
It is off until a channel is set, needs View Channel and Send Messages there,
and /economy status shows it.
/economy reveal <member> [action]. A moderator unmasks an unsigned
prank for free. CrackTunes posts
A moderator unmasked the rename on @Jo: @Mika as a plain message in the
channel (not as a reply to the command, which Discord would label with the
moderator's name), tells the moderator privately, and logs it to both logs.
The effects are those of a bought reveal.
- The mod log records what the shop did to a member, with no buyer:
CrackTunes server-muted @Jo (shop: Mute), and the same for unmute, deafen,
undeafen, moves and nickname changes. Moderators' economy actions (immunity,
credit adjustments, /economy cancel, /economy reveal) go to both logs,
naming the moderator in the mod log and saying "a moderator" in the economy
log. An adjustment's reason is shown in both logs, so the public economy log
too; a grant's reason is shown only in the mod log.
- Mute Members is an optional room permission, shown by
/rooms status
and the dashboard.
Changed
- The mod log no longer carries the economy's story. Shop purchases,
cleanses and crowdfund lines moved to the economy log, and the mod log never
names a buyer, a crowdfund's starter or a backer. Every log line is now
written as if the whole server reads it.
- A room's Mute now server-mutes the member while they are in the room, so
it works mid-sentence; before, it only denied Speak, which Discord applies
when someone next joins. Moving elsewhere (the hub included) unmutes at once;
after a disconnect the unmute is owed until their next voice join in the
server (or the bot's startup check); rejoining the room mutes again. A
moderator's server-unmute in the room wins until they rejoin, someone already
server-muted by a moderator or the shop is never taken over, and the Unmute
button lifts the room's Speak deny and the room's own server mute (never
someone else's). Without Mute Members the room falls back to the Speak deny
and says so. The room's own mute is not logged twice. Known edge: if the room
mutes someone the shop had already muted, they can speak in the room after
the shop's mute ends, until they rejoin.
Fixed
- An unsigned prank card could name its buyer. When a card couldn't be
posted where it goes, it fell back to a reply to the buyer's command, which
Discord labels " used /shop ...". An unsigned card is now skipped and
the buyer is told privately; a signed card keeps the fallback.
